Holly-Wood Guest House  

Our hosts, Yana and Ian, were friendly, helpful and considerate. Little touches like the 'nibbles' left for when we returned each evening and the quiche to take away when we left were much appreciated. Breakfasts were great.

Centrally located B&B in Windermere. Clean,warm,well furnished accommodation run by friendly couple who are pro-active in supporting your needs and knowledgeable about the area.

The Guest House was superb, very clean, close to the lakes & very friendly. Ian & Yana couldn't be more helpful!! It was my hubby's birthday during our stay & his day was made perfect with thier help!! First class & would highly recommend!!

Very friendly; the proprietors went out of their way to be helpful at cater to our requirements. We'd both love to stay again some time in the future.

If anything, it's a bit a a walk from the lake front, but no big deal.

Very good location, just a short walk to restaurants and shops. The bed was comfy, brilliant shower and nice breakfast!

Yana & Ian were most attentive and made our stay v comfortable. Home made foods & use of local products was very reassuring. Thank you.

The couple who run the guest house, Yana and Ian, are lovely, very welcoming and accomodating. The guest house is well kept, clean and the breakfast is good quality. They also, when we stayed, offered little 'extras' in the mornings I.E. as it was over Easter home made hot-cross buns and little chocolate gifts were avaliable on the breakfast table. Home made cakes were also left in our room for our return on some days and tea and coffee etc was kept well stocked. We would recommend this guest house to friends. Thank you Yana and Ian for a looking after us!

The room we were allocated was small, but there was an ample sized shower- room as on-suite which was clean and the shower of good quality.

room was very clean and nice, comfortable beds, quietness, good quality of breakfast and services.

For the internet usage, we were only allowing check emails. Not enough privet car park space, we have to park our car on the road.

Friendly welcome from attentive and helpful proprietors. Easy walk to Bowness for restaurants and pubs etc (there really isn't much in Windermere itself!). Well located for driving to the rest of the Lakes area and some lovely walks.

The room was a little cramped, with no outside view, as we were up on the top floor.

Excellent Bed and Breakfast accommodation. Rooms equipped with virtually everything you are likely to require + a few extras such as a selection of local cakes/biscuits. Owners were extremely friendly and would do anything to assist you. Good hearty breakfast to get you started for the day as well. Parking available for cars as well.

Yana and Ian couldn't do enough for us, very accommodating and friendly. Breakfast was amazing, we can tell why it's award winning! The room was clean, with eco-friendly bath products provided, and the B&B was a good size as it was very quiet. The house had a very homely feel, and was in a quiet spot off the main road but in a good location, with everything we needed within walking distance.

Everything - Yana and Ian are great hosts, the bedroom was quiet, warm, clean and nicely decorated. Breakfast was the best I've had yet!

The owners were lovely people very friendly and made you feel at home. The room was immaculate and very nice decor.

The only gripe I had was when we arrived the room was cold, and the heating didn't go on untill 4 o,clock. We arrived back to the room on a couple of occasions before 4 we were cold but had to wait until heating came on, I also didn't think the room didn't heat up very well

The host and hostess were extremely friendly and caring. I was well taken care of, sometimes even provided with some little surprises such as small cakes and a gift ball-pen.

The wifi connection wasn't good enough, sometimes might get unconnected.

Warm friendly welcome, lovely breakfast with plenty of choice. It was near to facilities and the rail station.

It was all good, a really lovely guest house.

The owners were amazingly friendly and so helpful. I loved our room!!!!

Room was a little small.

The rooms were lovely, very clean and comfortable. But it was the hospitality of Yana & Ian that was amazing. They were incredibly welcoming and gracious hosts and their personal touch simply made our stay in the Lake District all that more memorable. Thank you Yana & Ian! :)

Very welcoming and friendly.Couldnt find fault if we tried,the room was 100% spotless and the breakfast was cooked to order ,definately will return in the not too distant future.

Absoloutely nothing to complain about.

Great family atmosphere. The hosts Ian & Yana could not do enough for us - so helpful and friendly. The breakfasts were great (even Vegemite). Well done guys you are certainly on our list for a return visit.
