Breakfasts very good, very clean non smoking appreciated
Room a bit stuffy in heat,
Clean. Late check-in. Friendly.
quite a busy road
Good value for the price; only a short drive from downtown oxford
tiny room, barely fits a single (twin-sized) cot. WiFi signal very low (almost unusable). Location was not conducive to cellular reception, either.
Nice shower, clean and tidy. Really easy to acess the city center by bus avoiding the traffic and parking problems.
Room too small
Fast WiFi, clean room
The free wi fi option
That breakfast I had to wait for a table and that it was only an hour to have your breakfast.
Polite hostess and clean premises
A bit impersonal and too far out of town.
I had a room facing away from the main road, so it was quiet. The room was small, but perfectly adequate for a single night's stay.
The continental breakfast was fine, but the cold cuts of meat could have been better. Expected a full English.
Room was VERY small, the wardrobe was floor to ceiling and just 1 ft wide - really not worth the bother ( and had someones clothes still in it )? Breakfast is " continental" - so not much work for them. They just want your money - we were asked to pay when we were shown the room!!
Location: although it's far from the city centre, it's right opposite to Wolvercote cemetery, which is where we can find JRR Tolkien's grave! It's easy to get to the city centre from there with the Park&Ride buses. The staff was friendly and the place was nice and clean. The bedroom was larger than the average for Guest Houses. Although the road in front is very busy, it gets quiet at night.
They didn't offer English Breakfast, only continental, but it was pretty good.
- the hosts are lovely - small but cosy and clean - good breakfast - good wifi
- the location is a bit far fro the city - limited parking
Very polites staff and good value for money
very small room and wifi was a bit unstable
I spent there ten days and I was very glad about the staying. Room was nice and comfort. The staff were very helpful and polite. I truly recommend this guest house.
Easy access to oxford & off-road parking
Small room but adequate for the night
The owner welcomed us as soon as the taxi drove up the drive way. The place is quaint. It is, for me, a nice place to rest after a whole day's trip. It is conveniently located near the bus stop. The breakfast served was very delicuous. There were various options to choose from.
Wifi was turned off at night so we couldn't really access the net.
Location and hired staff
Full English Breakfast was advertised but not provided. A basic continental breakfast was offered instead. Double room was cramped with no wardrobe or cupboard space. I asked for a nice quiet room but instead was given a room at the front of the house which faces on to a main arterial route into Oxford! No ventilation - open windows meant even more road noise
One of the cleanest guest houses I have ever seen. Kind staff Car parking Reasonable price
Really poor breakfast
Very friendly and welcoming service.
- the beds, very comfortable and really nice duvets - bus stop right in front - inviting, bright room - good continental breakfast
- breakfast a bit early - toilet did not flush properly
Very handy to city centre, just hop on the local bus. Bus stop very close. Breakfast was lovely, great coffee and lots of variety of food for breakfast. Great bowl of fruit for breakfast.
Private Parking. The room was comfortable and clean. Quiet area. Good night's sleep.
No restaurants nearby. Had to walk 25 minutes to find somewhere decent. "We don't do English breakfast during the summer here" - which we didn't mind really, but other people might.
Nothing about the place
It was hot with very poor ventilation. When we went down for breakfast the owner's children had eaten just about all the food and even one little fat sod picked up several pieces of ham with his fingers. The owners could hardly speak any English and overall it was a poor experience.
The room was very comfortable and the bathroom was spacious.
On site parking and ease of location into city centre by bus
Small room, quite stuffy for two people. Mimimal tea, caffee, milk sachets provided. Continental breakfast not great, food not particularly appetising.
