Score from 1110 reviews Good
The mattress could be renewed. The sloping ceiling made it a little hard to use the bathroom.
Fantastic views of the snowy hills over the loch. The kids loved the swimming pool and exploring the beach.
Dirty table in restaurant
Staff very pleasant and helpful
Everything Hotel, Amazing Views,
Not enough drawers in captains bedroom. Television in bedroom should be fixed to wall opposite foot of bed.
Everything, other than what I have written below.
The hotel staff were friendly, attentive and efficient and the food, as usual, was excellent!
The towels could have been a bit bigger, but everything else was great.
Relaxed atmosphere, large comfortable bedrooms and an amazing loch side view. Coupled with a great seafood restaurant, I felt I could have stayed forever.
I felt that the price of eating in the restaurant was expensive when compared to city prices.
We went with our daughter and her partner for one night. The evening meal in the restaurant was lovely. The setting was absolutely stunning. Both rooms were spacious and comfortable.
The view. The staff were lovely. Good was veery good.
- Location - Staff - Private terrace accessing the lake - kettle with tea, coffee and chocolate! - swimming pool and sauna
The swimming pool was so cold
The swimming pool and sauna were a bonus
Everything is amazing
The restaurant staff were very understanding and helpful when our 4 year old was sick at the table (not food related - he had picked up a tummy bug at his nursery!), then sick a further 2-3 times overnight in our lodge. We explained that we had done our best to rinse the sheets but had been forced to throw away a bath towel which had caught the majority of the vomit; they wouldn't let us pay for it and just said not to worry.
Extra food and drink had been added to our bill, they didn't ask for key or signature when charging items to room hence someone else had two meals and drinks & charged to our room
The view The pool and sauna The seafood
The swimming pool was too cold for our young daughter
The view was spectacular and it was central to everything we wanted to do.
Every thing, peaceful, relaxing, service outstanding! Food amazing!
Food could have been better, particularly the breakfast
Staff were so friendly, food delicious and room was very comfortable. Best of all was definitely the beautiful view of the Loch - stunning and so relaxing.
Wi-fi connection was a bit hit and miss
The location is out of this world beautiful. Floor to ceiling windows allow you to take in the amazing views of the mountains across the water.
Bed, furniture and leisure area could benefit from a bit of TLC and upgrading. Bed was not comfy. Room 3 bathroom did not have frosted glass and looked on to the Lodges.
Went to the Hollytree for a last minute Break, and although a wee bit pricey, decided to go for it. Location was excellent, what a view and what a drive to get there through Glen Coe. Food fantastic, staff were excellent.
Breakfast was disappointing. And the evening meal was a hit or miss. Especially considering the menu is rather expensive. Swimming pool was nice but there were a few kids in it when we went and with it being quite small we didn't stay in it very long.
Location is fantastic and the captains sea view room was large and with the added balcony was excellent. Bathroom a good size with a separate shower although a little dirty. Close to both glen coe and fort William with loads of great walks and things to do nearby. Can not fault the staff. They were very friendly and happy to help with anything.
Staff could be more attentive. Poor value for money
The views from the rooms, the food and the facilities
The decor was a little tired, the parking outside was tricky. The pool and changing facilities were much smaller than expected, and rather dirty on one visit.
Warm cosy chalet, adequately furnished. We liked the layout, controllable heating, and excellent food and service in the restaurant.
The room and view
