The Holmwood is a family-run guest house situated in a central position 200 yards from Tolcarne and great western beaches and only 5 minutes walk from the center of town. All of the delights and attractions of this part of Cornwall are at your doorstep, which makes the Holmwood Guest House ideal for your stay in Newquay. Within a short walk you will find Newquay Zoo, Water World and the colorful Trenance Gardens and boating lake. The guest house has 6 rooms with private bathrooms, accessible with own key at all times. The guest house is open all year round and has parking at the rear for 4 cars. Location and friendliness of staff, breakfast was well cooked and presentation was really good. Good to have a car park at rear of property as the street is very busy with traffic. Would definitely go back again.

Man hat sich von Anfang an super wohl gefühlt! Sensationelles Frühstück! Der Betreiber des Bed and Breakfast war super höflich und hatte immer ein Ohr für Anliegen oder etc. Die zimmer sind zwar einfach eingerichtet, aber dafür super gemütlich! Jeden Tag wurde geputzt und gestaubsaugt! 2 min Gehweg und man steht mitten im geschehen bzw. am Strand! Alles in allem definitiv zu empfehlen auch für Familien! Ein klein bisl hellhörig is der Hausgang und die Zimmer. Die duschpumpe is bisl laut wenn man frühmorgens duscht, denke alle anderen Gäste waren danach wach. Aber ansonsten nix auszusetzen!

Starannie przygotowane śniadanie.Bardzo czyste pokoje. Przesympatyczny właściciel. Świetna lokalizacja-kilka minut pieszo do pierwszej plaży. Ogólnie polecam!. Jedynym utrudnieniem było to ze nie mieszkaliśmy obok siebie (rezerwacja na 2 pokoje). Aby spotkać się ze znajomymi musieliśmy iść wkoło domu do frontowych drzwi (ok 300 metrów). Drugi pokój znajdował się w przybudówce na tyłach domu.

Sehr nette, persönliche Betreuung, gutes Frühstück. Familienzimmer mit Stockbett zweckmässig und modern eingerichtet. Lage ideal, sehr nah an Strand und Stadtzentrum, trotzdem in einer Seitenstrasse und ruhig. Wenig heisses Wasser und wenig Druck auf der Dusche - machte das Duschen zu einem schwierigen Unterfangen. Das Frühstück gab es nur zwischen 8:45 und 9:15, für uns ziemlich spät und wenig flexibel, allerdings verständlich, da alles von einer Person gemacht wird.

Dave and Kim who run Holmwood Guest House were very friendly and accomadating. Our room was clean and well decorated with a wardrobe, chest of drawers and a small cabinet to put our stuff in. Though the parking was tight, it was more than adequate for our small car. The location was great as it was on away from the party bit of town, yet still in a comfortable walking distance for girls in heels. It was also well situated in terms of nice beaches to visit. It is deffinitely a family B&B, and Dave was able to advise us on where to go. Breakfast is perhaps a little early as it is only between 845-915, however, it was a lovely breakfast.

Our room, whilst on the small side, was nicely decorated, clean and comfortable. Ample tea/coffee provided in room. Clean towels every day. The cooked breakfast was good quality food, perfectly cooked and nicely presented. Nothing was to much trouble for Dave (owner), and he was always to hand if you needed anything or had a problem...which we didn'T. Would stay here again without doubt if we ever go back to Newquay.

The room was very comfortable and extremely clean. There was a relaxed atmosphere and we were made to feel very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble, and my daughters strange breakfast combinations were catered for, no problem at all. Would definately go back. I have never been to Newquay before and I felt the area the guest house was in let it down. Also parking was difficult sometimes.
