I very much appreciated that the proprietor stayed up till 1am to await my arrival (from late ferry) and took trouble to explain the accommodation and breakfast arrangements. No dislikes.

The couple that run the lodge were very nice and welcoming. We adored the room we stayed in. Very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. We would defiantly stay there again if we ever went back to Holyhead. It was a little hard to find the place.

Very friendly. They also collect from the midnight ferry which was appreciated and also delivered to the railway station next morning. They look after their visitors well and I hope to make a return visit in due course.

A very convenient stay if using the Holyhead/Dublin Ferry Port with Rail Station close by. Friendly welcome and good choice of breakfast to start the day. Clean comfortable ensuite room with TV and small selection of tea/coffe facilities. Small prom and beach in the area. The room was a little small for two. Probably more suitable for a shorter stay. Room comfortably furnished though.

The couple were very hospitable willing to pick you up from the ferry and drop back.as it is a tricky place to find. On foot. Very clean and comfortable They supply anything you want for breakfast including fresh fruit. A map left giving directions into town centre. In the double room outside the washing basin is extremely tiny - not very user-friendly. Shower cubicle is fine. A bit pricey for a single person in the double room ( £60 ) but good value for two.

Wonderful place to stay. Very nice couple and would do anything to help you out. They even offered to drive us to train stastion and looked up on the internet the best way by train to get to our next destination. That is going way and above to help travellers out. Excellent food and accomodation. Would recommend to travellers the Holyhead Lodge.

I had a fantastic stay at Holyhead Lodge, its staff couldnt help me enough when I needed them. They are extremely friendly, down to earth and customer focused - I would very gladly stay there again. The Lodge is ideally positioned 5 mins walk away from both Holyhead port and train station so is perfect for foot travellers and ease of transport links. Theres a great Chinese chippy or MacDonalds nearby for evening food - even though I did not look for restaurants. Theres a Lidls supermarket nearby for snacks etc. The Lodge cooks a customized mighty fine breakfast and is very homely and a great price! Great for students, singles, bikers, kayakers or a couple travelling. Once you book in and get your key - you don`t have to disturb any staff if you get home late which is also a bonus! The size of the rooms are a little small but for a maximum of 2 people it is absolutely ideal. My room was equipped with a sofa, tv, alarm clock, own showering facility, own toilet and even a mini fridge to cool my snacks!

Quite possibly the best service I have ever had at a b&B. Within a few minutes of making the booking they had rung me to make arrangements to pick me up from the Railway Station. But the crowning glory was providing me with a full cooked breakfast at 04:45 and then giving me a lift back to the Railway Station so that I could catch the 05:30 train on the morning that I left. Nothing seems to be too much trouble for the Holyhead Lodge. Not only that the couple that run it are some of the friendliest people I've ever met. Its not like staying in a B&B at all but more like staying with good friends. They have two brilliant dogs (so that may put non doggie people off - though they are kept properly under control) and the whole place feels very homely and definitely not like some of the more antiseptic establishments I've stayed at. There were no downsides ... Other than I felt really guilty that I couldn't quite manage to polish off the aforementioned breakfast which was truly enormous!!

We stayed here for convenience for the ferry from Ireland. Lovely family, great breakfast, clean accommodation. Next time I would have travelled on an early ferry and picked up my hire car the same day saving a nights accommodation
