Good location. Day staff were very friendly. Kitchen really good, with plenty of utensils.
We only stayed 4 nights but the wardrobe was way too small and there are no drawers at all. The night staff did nothing when we complained about the noise from the room above for 2 nights running.
Everything - compact, all you could wish for. Even better than the photos! Smiley welcome too
The location was great, quiet but very handy for Edinburgh centre. Staff were really friendly and helpful and sorted a minor leak from the flat above very promptly indeed. The apartment itself was very clean and well equipped. We also made use of the gym which was an added bonus. We would definitely recommend.
Location. Good pubs etc. nearby. Being near the Royal Mile. And, within walking distance of venues, Usher Hall, Queens Hall.
We liked the position, the cleanliness and the Tesco nearby. We also liked having our own space, not just a bedroom.
We found the beds hard and the street under the window was noisy.
It is well placed for most things close by and with a usefull car park and in a quite location
This is the third year we have stayed at this hotel and we feel it is getting a little tried it needs a make over.
Very clean and big rooms.
Beds need more comfortable .
Great location and great staff. We have stayed here many times and it's always our first choice in Edinburgh.
the space the size of the space the beds the bath the views from the apartment the friendliness of the staff tescos 3 mins walk away so you can easily get food to cook.
A bar would be nice
The location was really convenient, directions to operate everything in the apartment were clear and adequately provided. The staff was really friendly and the place was very clean and well-stocked. We loved having a kitchen, washer/dryer and lots of space for a family. Wi-fi was not always reliable but when it worked it was great and they gave us codes for all of our devices
In our opinion, the beds were hard
Location, kitchen and laundry facilities. Kitchen had every sized pot you could wish. Continental breakfast provided on first day for you to prepare. Car park
Kitchen had many sharp knives in a block set, and scissors, yet didn't have ANY utensils - stirring spoon, egg slice etc. Toilet didn't flush properly. Needed air-conditioning as unit very stuffy with window only opening a short way.
Excellent location and clean apartments
Very helpful staff. Well furnished and clean rooms. Attractive and convenient location.
1. We had used Booking.com and ideally would have booked 3 room apartment (3 friends travelling together) but none available so had booked 2 rooms, 1 with double bed and other room 2 single beds. On arrival found both rooms had double beds. Annoying. Staff helpful and eventually made up sofa bed in lounge. 2. Fairly noisy outside during the night, shouting people on way home, (happens in most cities), and early morning starts from car park.
Nice apartment - clean great location for dynamic earth and Parliament and Royal Mile. Great room service by attendants seeing to beds and re-stocking of fridge and food items.
although lounge and hall areas require some re-decoration Slept on and off, as the staff from the Restaurant across the road were very noisy emptying glass bottles late at night into bins. Seagulls were very noisy (through closed windows)
The location was excellent, right off the Royal Mile. I liked having the kitchen for the lighter meals and was impressed that they had coffee and tea for us. It was great for what we were doing and what we wanted.
Loved the 2bedroom 2 bathroom apartment with a nice kitchen and a bonus fold out couch. Max was 4 people even though it comfortably could of slept 6, so not sure why they limit it to 4. The location was good and had a little grocery store down around the corner and easy access to the main drag. It's a long walk uphill to the major tourist attractions, but lots of pubs along the way!! Checkin was easy and we were able to get the bedding we had requested. Parking is secure and onsite. When I booked I was quoted 10GBP a day, but the price changed a few months later and we had to pay 15GBP a day. UGH We were only there 2 nights but it was nice having a fridge and kitchen to make eating cheaper. Oh and Starbuck's like 40yds away, double bonus! Pretty quiet except the birds or geese or whatever they were. The shower was odd, but there were directions on turning the switch on in the hall. Overall a great place and I would stay there again.
The apartment easily sleeps 6, not 4 and a child. We had an extra room and didn't need it. We had to pay for the 1st night but was able to cancel the 2nd night. We had 4 rooms booked for 12 peoples, so went down to 3 rooms. The washer/dryer is a combo and takes over 2hrs even on the shortest cycle. Soap was provided but the clothes didn't smell as clean as we are used to, but it was very convenient to have it and one of the main reasons why we booked the place. All the rooms doors automatically closed, so we had to use chairs to keep the bedroom and living room door open. When we checked out my room was billed for all 3 cars, even though one of my brothers had literally just paid for his car 10minutes earlier. The front desk said he didn't pay. Thankfully he was still there and we could get his final bill. The front desk should of seen that in the computer. The comforter in my room had some stains, not sure about the other rooms. Overall I would stay again.
You are paying for the location. Based near the bottom of the Royal Mile you are in reach of Holyrood, Arthur's Seat, the Parliament and the Royal Mile. This is my second visit, this time because my daughter has moved in next to the Parliament. It was fab to pop back and forth and help her settle in. There is parking, though really this should have been included in the hefty price. But July in Edinburgh is going to be expensive and parking is at a super premium so I can accept that. The apartment is clean and the kitchen is well appointed. The few staff I met were sweet. None of the following is a reflection on their service although wearing their name badge would help get them a mention for good service.
Where to start? My second visit and nothing like as nice. I found The sofas and chairs mean and uncomfortable. It was incredibly warm in the apartment. We were melting and little air was circulating. I found a radiator on but it was still too hot and honestly it wasn't hot outside. The Fully Disabled Bathroom was not asked for and in fact was really dreadful. I have had back surgery and am not meant to bend. So to use the sink was impossible. It was tiny and totally unsuitable for a tall able bodied family and for me with my back. Is this a real thing? Do all hotel bathrooms have to have low disabled sinks? I don't think so. We all had to use the ensuite which was nice but the bedroom door opens right across it so there is a constant juggling of doors. The apartment has no real turning space so the disabled bathroom may be correct but turning and moving in the flat is Not. The doors slam shut every time by design. So there is a constant battle with where you are going and coming from as there is always a door banging in your back. How do you truly think a disabled person would manage? Or an older person. Fire doors? If they are they should be labelled. But the flat door should be the fire door and the others should be able to be left open. The place is tiny and I found, cramped. The doors make it worse. Storage space is poor and getting into the wardrobe is difficult. Again, think of your disabled visitor. This particular apartment is far from suitable. The lifts creak and groan, the carpets really are old and stained. The bedding is faded and the bed covers are faded and worn through. The floor in the living room is the creakiest most awful thing. The water pump is incredibly noisy. But the best is reserved for the bed. I just about slept but I was in pain all night and miserable when I woke up. My husband swapped places and I was better on the other side but he was uncomfortable. The side of the bed is crushed down to the base. Cheap and unchecked.
Location WoW They let you get towels when needed Put food in hall to attain Safe and secure easy acess One direction food and store Starbucks the others way 1/2 block. Washer with soap for clothes
Maintenance needed but in repair stages some staff new but could be preparing for the commonwealth games.
Great location, helpful and friendly staff, roomy and comfortable apartment
A bit noisy given the central location
Comfy and spacious off the royal mile but very easy to get to, all our needs were met
We liked everything...this is not upscale, but comfortable, large, clean and 2 bathrooms!
Everything we need was in the apartment!
Clean apartment, well furnished
A bit far from the city centre, with many slopes
Bit too expensive and extra charge for parking
nice, well equipped and spacious apartment ( we took a quad - 2 room one). Extremely clean, comfortable and self sufficient. Tesco just in the backyard so made it very easy to replenish supplies (necessary with young kids). Location excellent; just off the Royal Mile, so you can see the main city spots while walking around - no need to book expensive city tours beforehand.
Non-availability of any kind of maintenance and support staff. There is only person manning after working hours and that too as part of a summer job. Quite dangerous in my opinion; if you need emergency assistance (unfortunately, we did as our bathroom door shut and wouldn't open). Ultimately, I had to go to their tool room and get the tools to try and open it myself, which I ultimately did after an hour of my repair skills. Shudder to think what would've happened if any of us was inside that bathroom. Even the General Manager was not accessible after working hours (not that he / she ever visited the place in my opinion) and the receptionist - a very nice and helpful girl but being nothing more than a summer school student was most clearly not upto the task. In short, excellent place and enjoyed our stay, but clearly not equipped to handle any deviations / emergencies in normal stay course. Take your call!
