Proximity to city centre and parkland. Professional interior appearance Friendliness and efficiency of staff.

Bed in room 412 was too small and linen on bed was too small to be properly tucked in top and bottom. Bar service was slow - perhaps needs two staff instead of one.

The hotel is great, a friend recommended it and I really enjoyed it. The staff were amazing and we could print our boarding passes without any inconveniences.

Our room was beside the elevator and we could hear every person coming.

The restaurant staff seemed to be somewhat snobbish and aloof.

Hotel room was very clean, with a nice bathroom and very comfortable beds. Not noisy. Booking in quick and efficient. Concierge very helpful.

Foyer and restaurant rather badly lit. Bedroom decoration in need of updating. Stains on carpet and bedcover.

The hotel room was spacious, with a huge bed. There was air conditioning and the sound proofing was good - both internally and externally. Great location for visiting the Scottish Parliament, Dynamic Earth and Arthur's Seat.

I thought the room could have been a bit cleaner as there was dust on a few things. It's further out from the main shopping district and some of the attractions.

Exceptional staff who were very helpful,attentive and friendly,from the reception to the restaurant staff everyone was very professional and we were most impressed by the concierge and valet parking.We will certainly recommend and return.

The fire alarm going off a few times due to someone smoking in their room, but can't blame the hotel for that!

The location was ideal for walking around Arthur's seat and visiting the central areas such as the castle and museums

The immediate surroundings were a bit uninspiring (offices, university buildings).

Lovely hotel with friendly welcoming staff. For me the location was perfect as I was running a half marathon nearby. The room was nice and big, clean and very cosy and it was great being able to pop down stairs for a swim after the race. There really are no complaints about the hotel or staff. I didn't eat at the hotel, but what I heard about the food was all good!!

The fire alarm went of a few times during my stay, including in the middle of the night! Not the best preparation for any race :( But the hotel was so nice, it wouldn't put me off staying here again :)

the fire alarm disrupted our sleep twice in the night - was very disappointed as booked the hotel especially to get a good night sleep before the half-marathon. only one packet of biscuits in the room for three guests.

Reception and welcoming staff were very friendly. Room was also very comfortable! Because I was running a race the next day, the receptionist moved me to a quieter room than I was originally booked into as there was a wedding on that night also! Very thoughtful I thought!!

Unfortunately the fire alarm was set off twice during the night!! Once about 1am and 2nd time round about 5am. Obviously this wasn't the hotels fault but did make for a disturbed sleep!
