Helpfulness of all staff

Having to pay £20 to park my car at the hotel overnight.

The hotel is in walking distance of many tourist attractions. Very clean.

Pleasant, friendly staff. Spacious clean room. Nice bathroom. Quiet.

A bit further out of the city than I expected to be.

The location was excellent, the staff were helpful, facilities were good, room was very comfortable and lovely and quiet.

TV in room could have been situated a little higher, shower leaked onto bathroom floor a little.

Very nice comfortable rooms, staff were all very helpful. We arrived very early in the morning but were given our room straight away.

The service was nice, the room was cleaned and silence. Alle needs (free served coffee and tea, fan,iron etc.) were offered. We had to pay for the breakfast (10£) which was rich in quantity and quality. With your booking you have the opportunity to use the hotel owned Spa. The hotel is localate next to the parliament which is at the border from "old town". You walk about 5/10 Minutes to the center of old town.

If you pay with visa they charge you an amount (not for the room just for breakfast and drinks).

It was nice to have the use of a swimming although rather small. It is quite first thing in the morning and therefore size did not matter.

I paid £180.00 for two nights in a pretty mediocre room,(shower tiles in need of re-grouting, old fashioned TV) by today's standards and breakfast was not included. I hadn't noticed this when I booked some time ago and was really disappointed to discover that this was the case when we arrived. I stay in a range of really good hotels with my work and thought that this was a pretty poor deal for this time of year.

Great value, nice rooms. Right next to Holyrood hotel, about 10 mins walk to main shops and 15 mins to castle.

Location for Holyrood Park and Arthur's Seat is amazing. Very close. Room was spacious (especially for the area) and well appointed. Bathroom with tub and good temperature and pressure.

Overall, this was a nice place, but for a supposedly 4 star hotel, we didn't feel it was worth even the discounted rate we paid. It's pretty and shiny on the surface, but many of the small details were lacking (discoloured grout in bathroom, burnt out light bulbs, closet doors off tracks, having to ask three times for a non-feather pillow, key cards that didn't work properly when we checked in, a concierge who knew little to nothing about the paths on Arthur's Seat.) I would stay here again, if it were again very discounted, just because I'd know what to expect and the location would be familiar, but I don't think I could recommend it and I would look at other places first.

I had a really comfortable stay and enjoyed it. We had drinks at the bar on Sunday evenining and it was a lovely and relaxing sitting there. We got a special on our room and it was good value.
