Very relaxed atmosphere and attentive staff. Room was very well equipped - both the bathroom and the tea/coffee tray had a big selection of items. The phone in my room didn't work properly so I had to take any incoming calls in the main hotel but the staff were very helpful and apologetic about this |

Nice room, good food. On a reasonably busy road so handy to get to but a little road traffic at night. Bar looks like a social club, needs to be softer and I am sure it would then be a little busier.. |

Lovely friendly and relaxed staff, made you feel welcome and at ease instantly, nothing was too much trouble and staff were informative. The restaurant evening meal was excellent as was the full english breakfast. Would be nice to have more than one vegetarian choice for the starter and main course. |

Room 4, the boiling hot water. The breakfast was lovely. The booking system was quick. The Staff could not retune the tv so that I could get Channell 5. The hotel was difficult to find because the sign is so light/pale. |

This is a nice little place to stay in a good location for visiting Lyme Regis, Sidmouth, Exmouth, Exeter, Torquay etc. The room was lovely, comfortable and a decent size. It had a large bathroom and the spa bath was a nice surprise. Free WiFi also a good service. Service from Morton couldnt have been better, carrying my case to my room and finding time to ask about my day without being overbearing. Did not have evening meal here but the menu looked lovely, if a little expensive for this type of establishment. The breakfast however was fab :-) Although the added extras (ie nutrogen toiletries) were a nice touch, they werent replaced once used. Breakfast on my second morning took ages as the young lady on duty didnt seem to be able to multi task and then she wasnt around to check me out of the hotel; finally if you are used to quiet nights, there was a little noise from the nearby main road. These small things however would not stop me from staying here again or recommending to another. |

Staff were verry good - 9/10 Dreadful evening meal - 2/10. Room 8 very poor. Sloping roof makes the room uncomfortable to sleep or use toilet facility. Shower hose split |
