We actually had two rooms: a sitting room and a bedroom. Both spacious. New bathroom - very nice bathtub. The Mayflower is just around the corner - serves excellent haddock. Self service breakfast. Fine. Very friendly hosts.
Do not trust your car's navigation system if you use Postal Code. You end up in the middle of Bawtry (Google map's error). Read the hosts' directions.
Quiet location, generous size rooms, very friendly owners.
We have stayed in the suite on several occasions. It is very spacious and clean. Mark and Jane are wonderful hosts. There is off road parking and this is the best B&B we have ever stayed in.
Having to leave!
As soon as I pulled in to Home Farm & Lodge I was greeted by Jane. I was made to really feel at ease and was shown to my room and round the facilities. I was advised on the local area and the different types of places I could eat and relax. The room was finished to a very high standard, exceptionally clean and well laid out. I was so relaxed it felt like being in my own home. The bed was particularly comfortable and things were so quiet I slept really well. The following day I chatted to Mark and Jane again before leaving, they are a really friendly and welcoming couple. I enjoyed my short stay very much. I would recommend Home Farm & Lodge to anyone and will definitely stay again when in the local area.
Nothing not too like Mark and Jane were 1st class the room I stayed in was spotless with up to date facility's. I would recommend Home Farm to anyone.
Everything was brilliant and exceeded all expectations. We had a wonderfully warm welcome on arrival from Jane and Mark, they couldn't do enough for us during our stay. The accommodation, garden, the meticulous detail (loved the apples and pears!) to everything showed the farm was a labour of love. Thank you, it was perfect.
Nothing at all, could not find fault. Would love to re-visit and see the extension when finished.
Mark and Jane were very welcoming, and called us beforehand to check everything was going to be ok. We stayed in room 7, with the kids - and had a great one night stay, between visiting the Yorkshire wildlife park and sundown adventure land. Would definitely recommend it
Great value, quiet location and very friendly staff
The warm welcome and advice on local pubs and restaurants; the quiet rural surrounds and view over the fields; the beautiful spacious apartment, fit to spend an extended period of time in. Certainly worth while to come back and stay longer to explore this easily overlooked but lovely corner of England!
Having al fresco breakfast. Clean & comfortable room. Friendly hosts. Being disabled it was good to stumble to the pub next door for a meal ( & drinks) & stagger back!!
Had not realised that breakfast was self catering continental rather that Yorkshire Farmhouse home cooked.
accommodation staff garden area
We loved the beautiful garden area, the was a great deal of little extras thatade our stay, like sweet on the coffee table, bottle water in the fridge and the colour coordinating bathroom and towel ( not the normal white !!) . We wish we was staying for longer
It was a wonderful night away from home. Lovely village to walk to and great pub next door. Large helpings but very good quality too. Had our breakfast outside as it was a lovely sunny morning.
Not staying for longer
Great position for notts/Sheffield area Professionalism and friendliness of proprietors Great room with mini kitchen en suite Expectations exceeded
Not a case of not liking, but wifi was a bit patchy the days we were there Would Have liked savoury options for breakfast eg marmite/peanut butter. These are tiny points and in no way class as negatives, this was a great place to stay
Our spacious room was a converted farm building that opened onto a small terrace with table and chairs where we ate, as the weather was lovely. The gardens beyond we're beautifully maintained and full of flowers. Our hosts, Mark and Jane could not have been more friendly. Very comfortable room and large modern bathroom. Flat screen TV and supply of DVD's. Breakfast supplies were in the room, tea, coffee, fresh fruit, orange juice, milk and bottled water in the fridge with bread, butter and spreads. There were plenty of cereals to choose from. The parking was on the premises and close to our room which was a short and level walk.
Mark and Jane are wonderful hosts nothing is too much trouble and the accommodation is lovely
Everything about this place is fantastic. The owners mark & jane can't do enough for you.
The location was perfect, facilities and amenities perfect and the host loverly! Me and my husband had a wonderful stay and would highly recommended to others and plan a return trip ourselves! X
Had an excellent stay in the suite at Home Farm which justified its 5 star rating. Great location close to Bawtry centre, 20 minute walk or £5 taxi ride which you will need to book early on the day you plan to arrive as they get booked up quickly in the evening. Facilities are excellent for a B&B and Mark and Jane were really welcoming, friendly and helpful. Would stay again if visiting the area and would happily recommend a stay at Home Farm to other people.
Our hosts were extremely helpful and the facilities in the room were excellent, allowing us to make coffee/tea and also provided was a toaster and microwave. Everything was thought of.
This place was head and shoulders above anywhere I've stayed before. Spotlessly clean, extremely roomy and comfortable, gorgeous gardens and the owners are such genuinely nice, friendly people who will bend over backwards to make your stay as pleasurable as possible. Bread, milk, jams and butter, bottles of orange and water along with a chocolate biscuit in fridge, selection of dvd's, it really is home from home. Had a lovely meal in Bawtry also which seems a lovely place and we will definitely be looking to visit again in the near future. Perfect weekend.
Peaceful, quiet and rural but all services very close at hand. Pleasant and efficient manner by both hosts. Excellent job!
what can I say? hospitality great area great, garden area great. room great. What else can I say? oh yes, try The Ship and its Moby and Chips
Beautifully clean, excellent quality, quiet and peaceful. The garden is beautiful Short walk into town excellent food at The Ship Took a bottle of wine back totally relaxing
Excellent accommodation. A lovely large spotlessly clean room with such a comfortable bed. We received a very warm welcome to this B&B which is in a very quiet location yet within easy reach of Bawtry and the A1. Thank you Mark and Jane for a comfortable and relaxed stay.
