Handy for university. Sociable. Very clean
No fixed time for lights out in dorm. Difficult to find.
very well located
the kitchen was not clean expensive if you think that we were sleeping 4 people in the same bedroom without own toilet
Helpful and very good staff
Rooms are too small, they are not very comfortable
cheap nice location excellent wifi speed and covergage
breakfast noisy (sometimes)
The location is unbeatable. Beds are very comfortable. The staff is, simply put, amazing and super helpful. Fast wireless connection. As clean as it can be.
The rooms facing the road can be noisy
Old Windows make sleep noisy
Not much. Location.
Free WiFi only in lobby/bar and lounge. Else you have to pay for usage in rooms. Not a very big bar, limited options Rude staff, inefficient check-in (took far too long), unfriendly and unhelpful. Had to pay for locker in room - only works with keycard. Rooms were very small. Only enough room for beds, little else. Bathroom dirty and smelly. Have to make your own bed (they give you sheets on check in). Lift was broken for 1st and 2nd floors and I had a heavy luggage case. Only two power sockets for whole room. Breakfast had warm milk, cheap bread, kids-size bowls.
Staff were friendly Hostel was very homely, comfortable living room with Virgin Media TV. Rooms a good size, comfortable beds, good storage Great breakfast with option to cook your own hot breakfast e.g. omelette. Good location near to main street with bus connections to Bristol Temple Meads train station
A lot of stairs and no lift - not for those with a lot of luggage.
friendly staff, bathroom cleaned, maybe because the hostel was almost empty. I booked a bed in a room for 5 and there was just me!
the 3rd floor is sloping!!
friendliness of staff and customers. cheap yet excellent facilities
Shower could be cleaned more often
The situation of the hostel was excellent, just on the top of Clifton. Able to reach everything in some minutes walk. Also the bedroom was quite nice and more or less clean.
The cleanliness in the rest of the hostel is less than acceptable for a hospitality. Okay, for British standards it's a super clean environment, but only if you like mould in the shower an improper kitchen. Definitely no establishment for spoilt people.
I liked everything about it. I had trouble sleeping but that is normal in a strange bed and was not the fault of the Hostel in anyway. I liked the large lounge where I had interesting conversations with several overseas travellers and I liked the kitchen. I liked very much how helpful the staff were when I needed to check something ion the internet. it is a good location too being near historic buildings and museums and art galleries and habndy for buses.
The receptionist was kind. The night wasn't too noisy.
For this money I expected a better breakfast. The backyard from my window looked disappointingly ugly. The cupboard's door fall apart on opening (presumably broken long ago and not repaired). Although I booked a room not a bed I was told I was lucky that I did not need to share my room with anyone else.
Fantastic place to stay. I felt very welcome.
More advice on where to park overnight would have been helpful on the website.
Breakfast incl. Good location. Nice staff.
No outdoor sitting area in the hostel. There was a strong smell in the corridor all the time.
Clean bathroom & kitchen. Comfy beds. friendly staff
on a busy street - bring ear plugs.
Clean and as described
Free breakfast but couldn't find any pans or utensils to cook it , very noisy
Location and staff
Room too loud in the night. No good window isolation
No tv access only free wifi Bunk beds in room no good for 2 adults 6ft +
Good Location, wifi was excellent., room is small but ok
Majority of food on fridge for breakfast was off, it was replaced the day after, however all kitchen was dirty majority of time.
Good position, 10 min walking to the main square, nice area, supermarkets, pubs and shops. The self made breakfast was plentiful and the room (4beds) was clean and comfortable.
Very friendly Very helpful Relaxed atmosphere
Variety of room types. Location. Price.
Not much really. It's definitely basic, but it never pretends otherwise.
