Very happy and hospitable owners.
Reasonably hard to find. Once found though thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Beautiful grounds and charming house.
I am a coeliac and the Homestead was able to cater for my dietary requirements very easily and efficiently. There was a friendly and relaxed atmosphere and I will look forward to another visit in the near future.
Friendly and helpful owners who made us very welcome.
Nothing really except perhaps beds and pillows were a bit hard for our liking.
I was here for the second time. The first time I had the feeling that one day I would be back. And now I have the same feeling. Room, breakfast, ... everything was just perfect. And very quiet. Sue and Mike makes you feel ad home.
I knew from the first time that the driveway was difficult to find. Once you know it, its not realy a problem.
Very friendly & abllable
Lovely surroundings, great breakfast and lovely people.
Rustic setting, heated pool with towels provided, various places to sit outside with outstanding display of hanging baskets and planters, very approachable and helpful proprietors. Very good breakfast.
Booking.com gave a final, 'cheapest' price but gave no warning that there was a 2% charge for using credit card (we, therefore, used an other option). Also B/B said £8 a night cheaper if booked direct.
Friendly owner, great room, amazing facilities considering the price, definitely use again
Mick and Sue very caring and warm hearted. Though there was a problem with the pool pump they did everything they could to get it working for me to swim.
Homestead Lane is quite difficult to find and turn into from a very busy road.
Friendly and generous hosts.
Entrance tricky to find especially in the dark.
Mr and Mrs Mundy were very attentive and helpful. It was a very comfortable and enjoyable stay and breakfast was cooked to order and to perfection. The location was peaceful and delightful.
Clean & friendly, good customer service. The breakfast was excellent.
Very friendly staff and good clean facilities
People, breakfast, room, cleanliness
Very friendly welcome and atmosphere, reliable wifi, excellent breakfast. Beautiful location. Good choice of local restaurants (if not very close,~ 2 miles).
Just back after a gorgeous two nights stay in this lovely Bed and Breakfast which fully deserves its 4 stars. The B&B is located in the neighborhood of two train stations which allow you to easily get there in less than 30 minutes from Gatwick airport, while the cab option is also available. I could as well easily travel from there to the nearby Ardingly Antiques Fair, the purpose of my stay. The train can bring you in a few stops only to Brighton or the delightful medieval Lewes or allows you to travel to London main stations. I was pleasantly surprised by the beautiful rooms decorated with care, the cleanliness of the bathroom, the quality of the breakfast (where next to the traditional British one can also have a variety of other options, being able to opt for one or the other the evening ahead; traditional British with veggie sausage is available for Vegans!) and of the overall service. The B&B has a modern gym and a nice covered swimming pool. It is surrounded by a magnificent private park where one can see rabbits and occasionally deers. The hosts, Sue and Mike were extremely helpful and offered a lot of useful advice during my stay. Next to my room, I could as well visit the one of another guest who socialized with me and who was an expert in real estate. I was not at all disappointed and found out that through regular stays at the B&B she also appreciated highly this place. Looking forward to return soon! It is a very good base for visiting the South of England.
Very friendly people, pleasant and hospitable. Good location and well organised. Clean, well-presented and excellent quality of rooms and food. Would definitely go again.
Nothing to dislike.
lovely owners, lovely premises
the bed wasn't comfortable
Clean, high quality furnishings and fittings. Top class breakfast. Friendly owners and good value.
Possibly the option of sandwiches in the evening would have been nice. That is nit picking though.
Nothing blew me away - room was small and very tight - I guess the only highlight was the bath towels seemed new ?
the pillows were a fusty smell - had to wrap them with a towel as I couldnt sleep on them , the room was very noisy as next to breakfast room and all night I heard people coughing and going to the bathroom, cat cried at bedroom door, damp on walls by wardrobe,TV minute, very noisy - had to wear ear plugs to get some sleep - got shouted at as a "fail" cos I forgot the front door code ..... its not an army camp !! wouldnt stay again
Brilliant location in terms of peace and quiet and discovering the area.
Having to get a taxi into town if you wanted a drink with your meal.
Excellent breakfast, large modern room with many hotel extras.
Everything.....find an excuse to go there !!!!
Everything Lovely country setting with plenty of parking.Nice little touches in the room. Excellent dining room and cooked breakfast. Will stay again
