We were pleased to be given an upgrade to an Executive Room. The staff were very pleasant. Although I was initially disappointed that the window in the room had a very restricted opening, I discovered that there was an air conditioning unit which made up for that. I was pleased that I was using a Sat Nav to find the hotel. I would have had great difficulty finding the place without.

Staff were extremely professional and observant, and attitude was perfect. Extras in Room, Biscuits, robe, Iron & Cleanliness was Excellent. I cannot stay in this Hotel again because I like Coffee, and would like my Business colleagues to also drink a decent cup, however the policy for the Best western 3 star is to waste over £5k in a coffee machine that uses Hideously Disgusting Milk, that tastes of uht sterilised milk that has gone off! And I disliked the fact that the decor is old, outdated and bad taste. Whichever Top Manager chose that Horrific Milk cares nothing about Coffee, which in my opinion is huge oversight.

Friendly, helpful staff, nice room and facilities. Quiet location. Would have appreciated more comfortable chairs in the room. We had booked a twin and were allocated a double, but comfy anyway.

We wanted an hotel close to home, and the location was perfect. The staff were very good despite the complaints from other guests about the breakfast arrangements. They remained very calm and although the food was not perfect it was quite adequate for our needs. Tea in a pot - lovely. We were not able to eat in the restaurant as there was a large function, but I was not told this when I telephoned earlier in the day to enquire as to whether we needed to book the restaurant. We had to eat in the bar area. Also, the light fittings in the bathroom were in the shower area. Health and safety? We only had 1 pillow each and also only one dressing gown!

The room was stylishly furnished with a spacious bathroom. I arrived very late (1am with 2 young children), and the night porter had waited up especially to check us in. He assisted with carrying in the bags and even brought up extra hot chocolate sachets for the kids. It was so refreshing to be welcomed with such friendliness. Breakfast was hearty and family friendly, again with very helpful, friendly and accommodating staff. The hotel decor was a little tired, but if I am in the area, will definitely stay here again. Parking was on site, convenient and free of charge. The location was a little out from the main shops and you would need transport to the city centre.

Friendly helpful staff, who found me the location of my destination in London, and fopund a paper for my wife so she could find the tv programmes. Discoloured water initially from taps and shower. The public corridors could benefit from a spring clean, they still smell slightly smoky/musty.

Our room was newly decorated and comfortable The whole place was very 'airless'. It had been a sunny day and , without using the fan provided which was too noisy to sleep through, it was a rather uneasy night's sleep. Perhaps a 'blow' through by opening main doors would improve things.

Good location as nearby to Hatfield. Good value for money One of the party is blind and the facilities had no suitable adaptations meaning she was completely dependent on others to find her room or move around the hotel.

Ease of booking in & out The room only had 1 set towels for two people. The room was over hot with no instructions on how to turn down the heating. Breakfast was poor - cereal milk was empty & had to be requested. The selection of cooked breakfast items top up had to be requested for several items including the tasteless sausage . Staff did not watch breakfast items consumption by guests & react to shortages . Showerhead needed descaling. Why round pin electrical sockets in the room ? Disapointing hotel

The room was very comfortable. Facilities were good. Free Internet access was there. Reception staff were very helpful. I was there for overnight stay for business, it fully served my purpose of comfort and the need to work in the evening. Had to wait a long time for somebody to pick up the phone at reception when ringing down from room. Happened every time.

Nice staff and quiet good value for money as we went to a festival near by only bad thing was the extreme taxi fares for short trips when events are on. Tv outdated and low on the floor so couldnt see it from the bed but everything else was great.
