Comfort of hotel, friendly, helpful staff, good food and rooms clean and cosy Beside the beautiful Croxdale Park - lovely long walks
Comfort and peaceful, just what was needed after a 14 hour day
Staff were very accommodating .
Our only criticism was the bathroom was always cold.
Cleaners were good and friendly. Great to have car outside room. Good lunch ,dinners. Rooms real value for money.
Wifi and mobile kept dropping. Hard to do work here, please sort as would stay longer then.
Friendly staff helpful at reception when the bill was not quite right Food was excellent Good value for money WOULD COME BACK IF WATER WAS BETTER BEER GREAT THOUGH
Although the restraint food was good a few areas you could really improve on Attentiveness of staff while eating quite a few times I tried to get one to the table and they were talking to each other in the bar area manager included. A bit frustrating The Tap water was awful they were very helpful when I asked to try a different bottle but water was just as bad I asked for a large bottle of either mineral water of Still but only had small individual bottles which I declined I would get big bottles and offer them to guests COULD MAKE SOME MORE MONEY !!!
Location was good for walking
Wifi didnt work in bedroom and staff didn't even try to resolve this The courtyard room was tiny, small double bed and tight bathroom The shower temperature and pressure were unreliable I would not recommend this hotel
Room Food and location
Loved the hospitality of the staff and arrangements of complimentary children's crib and high chair
The double bed that was situated in the family room was older/ used and not firm anymore.
Comfortable, friendly and cost
Everything - the room rate was discounted but the room was fine. The food is good and all the staff were very pleasant and helpful.
Nothing worth mentioning
Hotel is situated just outside City but so easy to get to park and ride buses. Rooms are warm and comfortable, the public rooms welcoming. We ate dinner and breakfast there and both meals were excellent.
Unfortunately, signal for phones and wifi not good but that's probably because hotel is in a dip.
The room was great clean and comfortable staff fantastic and great customer services
The location of the room was bad the sound of the staff going in out the cleaning cupboards and the loud sounds witch I belive was the hot water systems
Clean and comfortable. Convenient for Durham.
Room 8 the view was not good out of a small window. Room was quite dark. Also if you are sensitive to noise you can hear the boilers
Warmth of hospitality and general efficiency.
Too much food to temp you!
The room is so clean and warm . It makes me feel comfortable
I could hear the noice from next door which quite annoy me
Close to City. Access to main roads. Excellent food & beer.
Double bed a tad small for the two of us. Restaurant out of use Weds night because of some event. Seating in main bar limited by another large group meal and other tables hogged by singletons on their lap tops do we had to eat in a corridor off the main bar.
Shower was fantastic
Bit of a way out
The food here is great well worth a try. Value for money and and great presentation. I would say the best food in Durham.
The wifi is very patch, so do not rely on it.
The spacious room with two windows plus the big bathroom. The fact that the hotel stands right in front of the bus stop with a frequent connection to the centre.
The room facing the major road. But the noise wasn't too bad thanks to the double glazing
Reception staff friendly and welcoming. Very good food in restaurant if a little expensive.
Our room had cobwebs in the corners of the ceiling. There was an ajoining door to the room next door, which meant we could clearly hear every word our neighbours were saying. The 3 Bar staff who served us were less than friendly, 2 of which seened quite untrained.
We could bring our dog to stay with us and the two room set up for the family room was excellent.
Everything was to a high standard cannot fault our stay. Would stay there again.
Rooms, food and staff were all exceptional
The rooms were comfortable and clean. The food was excellent both for breakast and dinner and the staff were attentive and helpful.
Was only a short journey in the taxi.
Booked a room for four adults, ended up in a triple room with a camp bed. This was very uncomfortable, complained to staff and as they could not move us we were offered a couple of bottles of wine.
