Room, food, parking, wi fi.
Cleanliness of bathroom. Room was too hot even with window open etc.
Excellent Hotel, great, friendly staff, good Location, good quality breakfast
Everything about the stay was good
The bar and restaurant were modern and comfortable. The prices were what you'd expect for a restaurant pub and so very competitive. The bedrooms were all in a separate block and all that I could see were at ground level. The beds were supremely comfortable. We woke up fully refreshed. Breakfast was excellent value. Highly recommended and we will use again. We could park right outside the room door.
Only two real downsides. The mobile signal was a bit hit-and-miss but that's only to be expected given it's semi-rural location. Because the rooms were in a separate block, you had to cross the courtyard to go from the restaurant.
Staff really helpful and friendly
Light in car park kept going off and on.
I had a short stay at short notice. Room was clean and comfortable. Full English Breakfast was lovely in the morning and the staff were helpful and friendly.
Lack of mobile phone signal, but that isn't the hotel's fault.
Location to Durham. Staff were flexible on rebooking and times to leave the room. Beautiful walk within close proximity to the hotel for me to walk my dog in safety and peace. The courtyard parking allowed easy access into the rooms. Lovely views to the rear.
The internet connection was not very good at all. The room was a little tired but more than adequate for the cost.
We liked everything about the hotel
The noisy neighbours on the Friday evening. They kept us awake until after 4.30 am! Saturday night neighbours were excellent.
Excellent staff; nice restaurant, good food, reasonably priced; convenient parking; very pet friendly; good bed; clean and well presented bathroom.
Problem with hot water on 2 mornings - boiler problem which was fixed on 3rd morning. Wi-Fi didn't reach our room at all.
Great beds Comfortable and clean
Dinner a little expensive
Comfortable, pleasant hotel, very good value for money.
The convenience and the food was excellent
Can't think of anything
Room was very good Staff were very helpful Food was good but portions were a bit much for us although very enjoyable I would recommend this hotel
According to previous reviews We thought the hotel was closer to Durham than qe thought
Cheap price Helpful receptionist
Cold room Noise from adjacent boiler room Poor service at breakfast
very nice room would go back
The shower kept going hot and cold
Lounge and bar was very pleasant and relaxed
Morning staff were a bit stressed and arguing
We stayed for 2 nights business & 1 more pleasure & had a very enjoyable stay. Lovely staff, nice food, good rooms!
don't like to put a negative for such a nice stay, but has to be said the bathroom was very cold!
The rates are very reasonable and the hotel is clean and comfortable.
My shower was cold but they did take 10% off my bill so cant complain. I didn't have the breakfast but I would prefer to pay for what I actually eat rather than a flat rate. Sort of forces you to eat a cooked breakfast which I didn't fancy.
Wifi drops in and out, no mobile signal makes this a poor choice for the business traveller
Love this place - allows us to easily travel with our dog. Staff are always very helpful & friendly.
If we come back to Durham we definitely will choose you to stay there. We had dinner aswell at your restaurant with the best staff attention and the best pea soup that we ever had. Congratulations to the Chef.and the room service was fast and wonderful. Thank you so much.
The only thing that we didn't like was that we never had signal wifi that we really needed.
It is not a hotel, it's a motel and should be advertised as such. The room was very cold and the toilet out of order.
Good restaurant, motel-style access from car to room.
The food was excellent. The location lovely walk into durham along river, which the dog loved, bus back regular. Comfy room with big tv
Liked it all
Stayed here for 2 night. There is the main hotel then around the carpark was little chalets. We were in one of these which were of good size. Bed comfortable and huge TV on wall lovely view over field from window. Had meal in main hotel on the Fri. Staff here very good. Food was nice. On the sat night went about a mile up the road from hotel to the horse & cart. (I think that was the name) the meal here was brilliant. To get into Durham we used the park & ride which was very good. Found the people of Durham to be very friendly and helpful. Would stay here again.
What we didn't like was you could here the people in the next room talking. Also they must of forgot about the fan in their bathroom which was on most of the night which is quite annoying.
