Lovely hotel staff were all fantastic nothing was to much bother the breakfast was exceptionally nice really enjoyed our stay we did not want to leave
Departure time was to early but next time I would book a late departure
The food and price of the restaurant is good and reasonable.
motel style rooms. the staff everything really
We have stayed here on a number of occasions as our son and his wife live inDurham. It never fails to satisfy. Lovely rooms wonderful full English breakfast.
Made to feel welcome by everyone every thing explaned to us at check in great service.
Staff was helpful and willing to make a change to the booking to get us two beds. Warned us about the boiler noise if we switched. Onsite restaurant was good.
Did not realize how far it was from Durham. Bus fare was L4 and staff advised against driving.
Reception was very friendly and super efficient. Although the hotel was very busy, nothing was too much trouble. The room was smaller than expected, and the four poster bed was a bed with four posts! Obviously a modern variation. But apart from that, all was good.
Lack of Wi-Fi
The staff were lovely and really friendly. They helped out and offered suggestions when requested. The breakfast was lovely and again the staff were more than helpful.
Unfortunately the hotel is on a main road which can be quite noisy at times. The rooms are fine but the wifi does not work in them but this is due to be updated soon. The doors into the rooms are very stiff when you try to close them which does lead to some guests banging them very hard which is not good at 7am!!! Our room looked quite clean but the toilet did smell ever so slightly of stale urine even though it looked clean.
Unclean and drains smelling in bathroom , false fire alarm v early on a Sunday am , prices increased due to fresher weekend at university made v poor value for money
restaurant dinner was excellent (quite sophisticated food at reasonable price), nice helpful staff.
Bar, Restaurant, Bed and Room
awful WiFi and 3G
Location, good food, nice pleasant hotel, close to places of interest
Motel rooms could be noisy
Friendly, clean and nice food
Excellent room facilities for value, food is recommended with themed specials each night.
The room The breakfast
the family room was more like a small apartment than a room, reception was first class. although right next to a main road you did not really hear traffic.
to say the pub menu was expensive would be an understatement £12 for a burger!! beer was great staff very friendly, cooked breakfast a little sparse for the cost. the put me up bed in the family room was rather too close to the actual bed
The location was good for me as l was doing businesses in the area.
The Wifi was very slow.
Everything - I stay here all the time just perfect, I was travelling with my elderly parent,s and they were just delighted with the warm welcome so friendly, beautiful, clean should be a five star. Food great piping hot. Already booked to go back.
The only thing was a young driver parked his van in a disabled parking bay, which was a the chalet Were we were staying, I was travelling with two disabled people very inconsiderate.
Location, decor and menu were great in this great little Hotel.
Out room was next to a generator, which ran all night and left us both with a restless night sleep. We also have zero mobile phone signal and we're not in range to the wifi signal. Business folk would struggle here.
Too near a main road very noisy Food very expensive but nice quality
Very modern deco excellent food and very pleasant staff
Signal for Phone & the Wifi a bit hit and miss
clean room and friendly staff
friendliness of staff excellent restaurant lovely and comfortable
there wasn't anything
We thought the hotel staff and management were excellent. Liked the quiet ambience of the bar and restaurant and thought the food very good, although quite expensive compared to what we had been paying in our travels.
The wifi was the only disappointment although we had no problems connecting in the bar/lounge area. This was the first place we had stayed in 4 weeks of travel across the UK where the wifi did not work in the rooms.
