Friendliness and helpfulness of staff
The room was lovely and the bathroom was well equipped with plenty of room. It was good to see lots of tea, coffee and milk available.
Minor gripe but it was hard to watch TV in bed because of the position of the posts on the 4 poster bed!
Loved the restaurant, staff very attentive. Food delicious. Room clean and comfortable. Very near to park and ride for Durham. Beautiful countryside. Ideal for Durham Uni visits.

The noise from the water pipes throughout our floor was horrible. The highway out front was very loud and could be heard all night.

pleasant staff. Comfortable room, good facilities. Good breakfast choice. Very good main rooms decor. Very adequate for overnight stays.
Bedroom compact and showing wear. Needs updating.
Room was good and reasonably priced for a one night stop-over.
The breakfast buffet was overpriced and of poor quality, especially lack of fresh fruit and dried out pastries.
Restaurant was great. Good range and high quality for the price. Staff were very helpful

The hotel was easy to find & only an 8 min drive from Durham centre. There was also a bus-stop right outside the hotel. The food in the hotel's restaurant, Bailey's was amazing with a varied menu.
We were in the courtyard rooms facing the fields at the back of the hotel, unfortunately there was no phone signal.
The food was excellent.Staff very good and not too attentive.
