Very comfortable beds! Well appointed rooms. Helpful staff.

Rooms were perfect for what we needed, clean and spacious. Very impressed with our evening meal couldn't fault it.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Nice informal feel to bar and eating area. Room and bathroom very clean and well tended daily. Food was good.

Room was on the dark side and I think could be a bit warm in the summer - needed a bit more ventilation - minor point only!

The menu was a but strange but I loved the special curry on that night and my wife enjoyed her fish and chips.

Excellent value at £45 and we even got a free upgrade on arrival to a room that can only be described as superb with super king bed and jacuzzi bath and roof terrace! Lovely place tastefully decorated throughout. Would def come back.

Just two things: advertised wifi throughout but this wasn't working properly, and the extraction system from the kitchens and aircon units outside made a low rumble until 2340 and again from 0530 which made sleeping a lithe difficult. Ironically if we hadn't been upgraded we'd have been in one of the courtyard rooms and this wouldn't have been an issue!

Noise from kitchen was audible all night from our room. Not good choice of food for vegetarians. Real ale drinkers beware - billing said had real ales but only one on and one other pump empty on a bank holiday weekend.

Staff were friendly and helpful

Facilities a little short i.e. very difficult to connect to wifi. The parking space outside room door always occupied by someone else. My room being entered with use of key by another 2 guests who offered no reason or real apology - where did they think they were?

Pet friendly and at no extra charge, room service at no extra cost, lovely modern bathroom, large flat screen tv in room, comfortable room with plenty of electric sockets, parking right outside courtyard room, easy to find

Free wifi wasn't working but staff did explain why and it was free anyway. Room service meal took an hour to arrive but was good when it did.

The food is incredible! Worth staying out of Durham city centre for food like this, it was brilliant. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Beds are wonderfully comfy and I enjoyed the "American motel" feel of the outhouse room layout. Love it!

Being in the middle of a large group of cyclists who had bikes, wires, training equipment everywhere. Not the hotels fault although they could have put all the eventists together away from other guests. Couldn't adjust heating.
