Great building, bar area and restaurant, the full English Breakfast was very good. Free parking, lots of spaces. Good location.
Uncomfortable Bed, Small "Double Room", Wardrobe opened into the side of the bed, Make-up on the towels, Bathroom fan broken, mouldy shower, the "Tradesman's entrance card swipe after midnight", feels like the Hotel is a bolt-on business to the bar / restaurant
The stairs up to our room difficult. Just fair food in the restaurant.
was a lovely stay and we were made to feel very welcome. the room was very comfortable. just a couple of issues with the bathroom, shower cubicle was grubby and the bracket was broken so the shower didnt stay in place. Breakfast was fantastic. We will stay again!!
Beautiful rooms we had room 18 on the top floor . Very clean and well equipped loads if hot water . Had a meal in the restaurant which was excellent and also great breakfast .
Don't want to pick fault but if there is one thing missing it was a mirror to dry hair. The dryer was in the draw and was really good but no mirror anywhere near . I understand it was because of the wall shape but a free standing mirror on desk would of been brilliant .
Friendly staff very helpful
Good range of beverages & excellent food
the friendly staff pleasant bar and dining area clean room provision of a fan in the room
a small amount of mould in the shower.
Clean and nice atmosphere.
The rooms are too small.
Excellent food for breakfast and evening meal
Hotel was easy to find, the décor was lovely - especially in the conservatory restaurant (NB.they could do with more photos of both restaurants and the lovely outside terrace on their website!). The staff in the restaurant were very efficient and friendly, and made a fantastic dinner even more so. No lifts, but friendly staff took our cases up to the rooms. Lovely breakfast too. Rooms were very comfortable and again decorated to a high standard. We used this hotel for a visit to Silverstone and would definitely return here for future Silverstone trips.
There was some mould in the shower tray which detracted from an otherwise perfectly clean and nicely decorated bathroom. Couldn't fault the room otherwise. No aircon - but they provided a very efficient fan.
Room size and facilities Restaurant, food and bare
Room good ,venue pleasant,food good
Breakfast service a little poor- only one person on duty and had to ask for marmalade and when toast eventually arrived it was only cooked on one side.We advised the waitress and she said she would bring some more. The rest of the food was fine.
large, quiet, comfortable room, really nice food, relaxing breakfast
could have more toiletries, shower cap
Excellent staff.. great atmosphere.. food out of this world.... Definitely planning another visit
Friendly staff, lovely spacious room immaculately presented, Evening meal from a la carte excellent with one exception (more later). Wine was good at a reasonable price Breakfast very good, cooked freshly to order. Nice comfortable bar area.
We asked for the cheese board @ a price of over £17.00 for 6 cheeses. What a disappointment after a great meal, each cheese was approx 3cm x 4cm and one was only the outside rind concealed under a bunch of grapes and celery. To be fair to the staff they took it away and did not charge for the course. Apart from this slight hiccup witch I hope the management will look at their portion control and rectify we still considered the whole stay excellent value for money.
The chef on our first night was excellent. We really enjoyed every course at dinner.
The chef on the second night was not of the same standard in any way.
The food was excellent!
The view was not ideal!
If you had to stay in Northampton I would not hesitate to stay here. Room was clean and spacious. If you stay here well worth booking an evening meal. The food was superb , menu was fantastic and varied. Pigeon starter and Lamb main was fantastic. Waiting staff were brilliant. Breakfast was fantastic, freshly made. Highly recommended
The photos make it appear that The Hopping Hare is on its own, however it is surrounded by houses. However having seen the other hotels in Northampton town centre I would highly recommend The Hopping Hare.
It's more like a boutique hotel than a pub with rooms. Lots of character. Food was excellent
The meal was bad ,
Comfortable, quiet, good food & service.
lack of fire exit from top floor
Lovely food and service
Was a nice stay but paid of a king size bed and stayed on a normal double bed , false advertisement I think
Good breakfast Newspapers
excellent food and loved upgrade
Nice comfy bed at the end of a long day. Excellent breakfast.
Location was good to where we wanted to be for a wedding reception but we did have difficulties finding it. Map and directions could certainly be clearer. Rang the Hopping Hare to get directions when we couldn't locate them.
