The mill was beautiful, the staff friendly and the food excellent The bed was on a slope which made sleeping a little difficult as my wife kept sliding sideways all night. |

The easy location, pleasant staff and although near to A303 and just off the A358 to Chard it was in a wonderful setting. Stop on route to Cornwall. |

We enjoyed the luxuary atmosphere,a lovely diner, the hospitality/ kindness of the hotel staff. Although we arrived earlier than planned the luggage could be stored easily and we traveled to Lime Regis for shopping. Upon arrival the luggage was already in the room. |

The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was very comfortable, although in some of the bedrooms there are low beams which you have to be careful to avoid and the food was excellent. Was lovely to see the ducks, Swans and Peacocks in the morning and the working watermill was a lovely feature, giving the hotel character Not so much that I didn't like it, but thought the breakfast choice, if you weren't having or didn't want a full cooked English breakfast, could be better |

A lovely setting, good acommodation, good food and polite and friendly staff. A nice break for anyone who needs a relaxing get away weekend. Lym Regis is a 20 minute drive from the hotel and well worth a visit. |

Staff very friendly, good value restaurant Room was very hot...fan provided but still .... Shower handle came off in my hand...and water from shower was insanely hot, even at coldest setting....actually too hot to stand directly in flow...had to keep to side of cubicle and rely on splashes! |

The hotel was quiet and relaxing. The hotel decor was newly refurbished. The rooms were clean and comfortable. the grounds were well tended and pleasant. Food was very good. Receptionists were occasionally over friendly (over the top with smiles and welcomes) problems with the plumbing on the top floor meant our shower was not working so had to wait for other people to leave before we could use another bathroom. But staff did their best to compensate for the problems until another room became available. Disappointed that there were only showers (no baths) in the ensuite. |

A lovely hotel in the Somerset countryside, with large attractive grounds, a working water wheel and a small lake with ducks and swans and peacocks wandering around. Our room was clean, fresh and attractively decorated. The staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. When we arrived late afternoon, a wedding party was in full swing and we were prohibited from walking or sitting with a drink in the main grounds. The staff were very apologetic about this but we were told that if we wanted to see the lake and take a walk around the grounds we would have to wait until the next morning. Breakfast was fixed at 9.00 am - 1 hour before check-out but we did not get our food until 9.40 am. The wedding guests had a separate dining area and ate immediately. We would advise anyone booking to check ahead to see if a wedding is being held as it may diminish the quality of your stay there. |

I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived having booked the hotel on the off chance for me, my wife, and brother in law, and his wife, all of us had a good time there and were well looked after by the staff. Excellent choice Quite a distance from home [not your fault] |

The staff were courteous, helpful and friendly without being intrusive. My room was spacious and attractive, the bed very comfortable, and the shower ace! The dinner and breakfast menus offered ample choice. The hotel is set in lovely grounds and the sound of ducks and peacocks outside my window added to my delight. Wasn't too keen on their 'chunky chips', but otherwise the food was delicious and nicely presented. |
