Country views Upon checking inn at 22.00 on Christmas Eve we were informed that there was no heating in the bedrooms, we were provided with one small electric radiator which took the chill off the room, eventually. On Boxing day morning we were refused a cooked breakfast [paid for!!] as the owner would not cook as we were a few minutes later than the time agreed the night before. We were the only guests and we were made to feel that it was too much trouble to have us stay, we shall never return to this Inn even thought we have family close by. We checked out and moved to the St Leonards Hotel at the same rate, it was excellent. |

Hotel is very clean and they have a good menu which is excellent value. Despite not being back in good time for lunch one day, on request they still provided me (and a few other late arrivals) with very tasty meals. The hotel is comfortable and very good value, particularly for those on a tighter budget. I found the staff to be very courteous but not particularly friendly, even after I'd been staying there for 4 days. My room was very nice but the dull droning noise from the hotel's refrigeration unit nearby made it difficult to sleep on the first night, at least until I'd got used to it. Oh and don't expect too much from the tv - still only the basic 4 channels presently. However none of these minor points would stop me from visiting the hotel again - it's a nice place to stay. |

The bed was clean and comfortable and although one had to fend for oneself at breakfast this in itself was good. The shower was not very clean,and the electrics were not very disirable. |

With a friendly greeting and a cosy warm room , the Horton Inn makes for a good base to exploor this part of the country ,The cooked breakfast was excellent . Being an old building the floors in the bedroom "creeked" could be annoying over several days stay |

The room was spacious, access to the room was easy, and the beds were reasonably comfortable. The room was noisy due to a nearby refrigeration unit (beer chiller) which operated intermittently all the time throughout our stay (the landlord did switch this off the first night, after midnight, at our request but omitted to do so the second night). The noise made sleeping difficult. The sink had water staining and the shaver light did not work. The car park was badly potholed. There were no amenities nearby - nothing in Horton Village and we had to drive to Wimborne Minster for evening meal on Sunday. |

Staff were friendly and food good. This was a hotel at Travel lodge price, but much nicer than a Travel Lodge. There was a bit of noise from the bar and the road. |

Staff were exceptionally kind and helpful. The huge beer garden proved a fine place to relax and take in warm June sunshine. The proximity to a road favoured by high-speed bikers made for a distracting environment. But I can be selectively deaf. |

Staff were very friendly and welcoming, beautiful location Food and service was excellent unless you want steak. We asked for it to be cooked medium but all 3 steaks came very well done. Other diners had the same experience. But the service and staff were so nice we did not feel like complaining. All our other food was excellent. Breakfast was really nice! |

Sfeervolle kamer en mooie, landelijke ligging. In de Inn zit ook een bar en restaurant waar je prima kunt eten voor een goed prijs. Bij de boeking stond dat er ook een douche op de kamer aanwezig was, er was echter alleen een bad zonder doucheslang. Bij navraag bleken er niet veel kamers met ook een douche te zijn. Was overigens wel een authentiek Engelse beleving om zo te moeten badderen. |
