Quiet & convenient. Good breakfast. For the 2nd year running, I was overcharged at checkout. The rooms were charged at £65, not £59 as booked. The hotel refunded the difference when it was pointed out |

Beautiful surroundings in an historic house but with modern comforts and spacious accommodation even in the standard rooms, a relaxing welcoming atmosphere with staff happy to help but not overbearing. Very good buffet breakfast after a most comfortable night. The evening meal (a wedding breakfast) was not equal to the standard of the rest of the hotel...the sauce over the chicken was tasteless, the vegetables a little hard, and the `sunblush` tomato in the starter was a flavourless standard tomato, not worthy of a wedding celebration. The chocolate mousse dessert was pleasant. We thought the brown uniform of the staff, in particular the `master of ceremonies` lady was dreary and not reflective of the occasion. |

Very pleasant staff, reasonably efficient and tasty breakfast Just acceptable room although expensive at £115. It was called executive but there was a portable air conditioner next to the window with a pipe sticking out of the top that I presumed was supposed to wedged into the open window. This could be a lovely hotel - it just needs good management |

the grounds and the swimming pool It is a conference centre and wedding venue and not really suitable for hotel guests who are not catered for as a priority. Accommodation wing looks like a student residence; corridors are long, confusing and depressing; staff are excellent but overworked; facilities in room were faulty: no phone, safe did not work (in either of the two rooms we were given); access to leisure centre is by code which one only finds out when trying to get in; code lock is unreliable and code has to be entered many times before it works, etc |

The grounds Fire escapes left open; extremely soft matress; shower which was only a trickle; lack of direction signs; not being informed where breakfast would be served; having to ask - for everything. |

Relaxing atmosphere and staff were helpful and efficient. It is within easy travelling distance of the central shopping area in milton keynes and would be ideal to stay in and do xmas shopping. |

we arrived late in the evening and the receptionist didnt have our booking ,the bath didnt have a top to the hot tap so we were unable to have a bath (which my husband prefers) and the room was a very long walk from the reception (very very long )so we were disinclined to go back to the bar for a night cap which we were looking forward to . |

In a delightful setting. Staff overstretched in Dining Room due to a wedding and were very fair in offering a Desert course and a glass of Cava for free. No confirmation of our booking on arrival and had to persist to obtain a superior room. Thankfully we had little luggage - the distance to access the room was via a never ending maze of corridors. Disappointing Dining Room, very low ceiling. |

The hotel was gorgeous, and the room very comfortable - excellent value for money. The reception staff were impatient and ignored me when I arrived - it only takes two seconds to look up and say 'I will be with you in a moment'. They did not have my booking on their system. I was given a key and a map showing me how to get to my room - when I eventually found it the key did not work, so I had to walk all the way back to reception with my luggage to request another. The room I booked was a double but only had one set of towels. So I had to grumble again! The drinks at the bar were really unbelievable expensive so we decided to go into the village for a more reasonably priced beverage. On checking out - I was on their system as a "no show" so that took 3 receptionists to figure that out! Sort your reception staff out!! |

A very attractive setting, well laid out rooms, good degree of cleanliness, very attentive staff, with great breakfasts, Stairs on route to rooms difficult for new arrivals with "wheely" suitcases - although there was an offer of assistance with suitcases, it was not mentioned that there were stairs en route. |

The main building as it stands and the facilities; pool, sauna and jacuzzi. Led to believe we were staying in the hotel not the travel lodge attachment, very disappointing. If I wanted a vege sausage I would have to wait 20 minutes meanwhile the breakfast would get cold, would be nice to maybe order in advance. No bar staff in the residents bar as there was a wedding party. |

The staff, in particular the young girls in the bar area, were extremely helpful, happy and a real credit to the hotel. The room (307) was quite pokey and a bit drab and I can't remember the last time I slept in a single bed. |

Good venue for a wedding - beautiful grounds for the photographs, and tasty food at the wedding breakfast, with plenty of space for all the guests No butter (only margarine), the shower did not work, and the bar was expensive with inexperienced bar staff. It had also run out of Becks! The bedrooms block seams to have been built round the plans for a maze! |

The distance from reception to the room, up and down stairs at least 5 times. Lack of staff at the Lounge bar, our reception bar and the actual Ladies Festival due to a Wedding reception and the Ladies Festival clashing at the same time. Only two girls at the main bar trying to cope with the Wedding reception and our guests. |
