The staff were very helpful and very polite. Couldnt do enough for you.
The pool was quite small and there wasnt a steam room. The shower in our room wasn't brilliant but adequate.
The lovely restaurant staff and the front drive. Apart from that we felt like battery hens !,,
Once you've booked in you feel like you're being filed away in an enormous filing cabinet. It's all too big and inpersonal. It prob works for a big corporate event but not for a personal experience.
The bed was really comfortable. We stayed here as we were attending a charity event here and although close to the function we couldn't hear any noise and so had a great nights sleep after an evening dancing! The staff were very polite and the food was good.
The bar area where we had lunch was very big and completely soulless which was a shame as it is a lovely property.
The look of the house
The room was a shocking place to be sent to sleep. It reminded me of a students accommodation but even that would have been better. The shower was over the bath granted there was a bath mat but I almost slipped and fell there was no safety rail and would have had a fever stating result should I have fallen.
Beautiful location, full of character sitting rooms downstairs, clean and well look after swimming pool, comfortable beds, clean and comfortable bedroom and very friendly staff.
5 channels on 1990's TV set Swimming pool showers cold Hair in bath Expensive food for what it was
Breakfast was pretty good
The cardboard maze to find a tiny room where I could hear everything my neighbours & whole corridor was up to. Every attempt is made online to make this place looks grand, indeed the drive & reception building are, the rest simply cheap
Breakfast was amazing, better on weekdays than weekend i noticed. Never felt rushed or in the way. Staff very friendly. ALL staff wish you good morning/afternoon/evening as you pass them in corridors etc. nothing was too much trouble for anyone. Swimming pool and gym were perfect for our needs. Room clean and warm. Bed very comfortable. Bathroom massive. In room supplies replenished everyday. Extra requests from reception delivered quickly.
The only slight blot was late at night the water wasn't hot enough or plentiful enough to have a bath.
The food at the wedding was excellent
The rooms had a bad smell and the heating was on way to high and the bar prices were a disgrace
The setting was beautiful and staff we're friendly
The check in was not good we queued for around 30 mins and the rooms were very small
Upgrade Room we reserved not available when we arrived. Complimentary robes slippers took an hour to arrive. Restaurant overbooked took 50 mins to be noticed and order and get a drink!! Very poor service. They did however try to put things right.
staff very helpful
no access to public lounges and bar, bathroom freezing cold! ran out of main courses by 8.30pm, check in took 40mins, generally poor!
got a discounted rate (now i know why)
bedrooms small and uncomfortable bathroom dirty towells old and small food terrible / poor selection staff not terribly helpful
Good location for M1 Gym and Pool facilities. Good food good bars.
Had to wait half hour to sit down to dinner despite being empty,as there was a large corporate group staying at the hotel, this meant eating at 9pm ! when eventually sat down the restaraunt was no more full than before and more emphasis was preparing tables for breakfast than offering any service. Room 517 was comfortable but very cold, no radiators working only a 2kw heater for warmth, had to put T shirt on in bed and socks as it was very cold overnight.
Bedroom/noise throughout the night from air conditioners/ventilation
Breakfast was good
When I entered Reception, uninterested staff, others swearing, talking about guests "kicking off". My first room had someone elses clothes in it, my new room had the oldest tv ever & didn't work. The paint was peeling off the ceiling. The bar was deserted & the white wine was warm. They could & should do a lot better.
Original room too far away from reception but was changed without any bother
Nice location and feel of hotel. Only person in gym
Too many drunken revellers kept knocking our door and girls sick in public toilets and screaming in corridor. Room quite small. Check if there is a function on before you stay. Staff never asked drunken guests to move from corridor or stop screaming just stood and ignored everything as if they are used to it.
Once we found it (difficult with a navi), the location was good
The walls in the bedroom annexe are like paper and people were returning from parties until around 4am
Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. The staff were helpful and professional.
Restaurant expensive and lacking in intimacy. The room was small and in need of refurbishment; exposed wiring and dented and chipped paintwork. TV was oldstyle and not fully working-couldn't get channel 1. over priced for the state of the accommodation; I wish I had booked the bed and breakfast nearer to Winslow. It was a poor choice for a birthday celebration.
Waiting to check in, Waiting to be seated, waiting for my order to be taken, waiting for the meagre portion; then being phoned twice in my room to be accused of not opening an account despite doing this at check in! The Manager of the dining room is rude and has clearly never heard of customer service!
The food and service were excellent.
Bed was too soft and kept losing wifi connection.
The facilities were good, the room was comfortable, if a little small, a couple would have found it cramped. The radiator was good, and I was able to control the temperature in my room. The food was good, the pool was nice.
It is a shame that there is no whirlpool or hot tub in the leisure centre. I had to request Wifi each evening. It was also never suggested that I would have to book a table for dinner, however, it is best to do so. It is also a very big hotel, if you leave something in your room by mistake, it may be a very long walk to go back for it.
Good location for Leighton Buzzard and Milton Keynes stations, good parking.
lots of talking until late from next door twin rooms. Doors banging shut at all hours. If you get up early be prepared for a cold shower. There are some great food pubs locally so I'd avoid the hotel food, I didn't think it was possible to mess up a Burger but apparently so.
Reception service Food
Wi fi connection was poor Shower in room was not hot or very powerful
