Unusual decor a bit off the wall
The friendliness of the staff, the care they take and the creativity they use to decorate the hotel. Also the explanation of the hotel history and the decoration choice of the rooms. Excellent location.
The door to our balcony did not close properly.
The location was good & so was the evening meal. Clearly they were aiming at being a boutique hotel but haven't quite got there & are maybe struggling but give it a go & I hope you enjoy it!
Still not enough water pressure in the shower in room 14!
It ia a nice place if you're looking for a quiet place. The view is amazing and people are kind
Though not a bit luxurious, the character, quirkiness, cleanliness and charm of this older hotel are great fun. The staff and food were both exceptional. It was a surprising highlight of our trip.
Some of the rooms were tiny, but adequate for our short stay.
The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Nothing was too much trouble. The room (no 7) was pure luxury.

Quirky: my bathroom was in a mock shed! But the rooms were very comfortable and well equipped. The owners are extremely friendly. Nice bar and the food is excellent. Great location right on the sea and plenty of parking.
Bed was narrow for a man of my size.
The room was clean and comfortable. The furniture was well chosen and unusual. Breakfast was good, but not exceptional.
The hall was dirty, with dead spiders hanging around. There was a section of ceiling missing. It also smelt bad. We had been moved so I didn't get the sea view I had requested. The decor was in a bad state - paint peeling off the walls. This was a general state. Certainly not worth the money. There was no car park, only street parking.
Nice clean hotel, pleasant staff. Breakfast was very nice
Noise late at night from people gathering outside. Sub titles on TV
the sunshine and the reasonable priced beer
the meal we had was roast lamb which was cold and not home made as advertised
I loved the welcoming atmosphere and down to earth, friendly British charm of the establishment. Blossom was quietly delightful and made me feel right at home. The reception area is very unassuming and the on site pub was occupied by friendly locals as well as hotel guests. The decor in every room was unique and varied from whimsical and fun to cheerful and cosy. I had a beautiful view of the waterfront and enjoyed many walks along the beach. Although the delicious food was prepared on site, it had a more gourmet flair and full of great flavour. Well done Blossom!!! It was (if you'll permit me to say...) NOT typical stoggy food I've had in similar smaller hotels. If you fancy something a little different from the typical hotel offered by chain hotels, this is for you! If you like the predictability of a chain hotel, this is not for you. I loved the overall character of this hotel situated across the street from the beach. I would go again in a heart best! Thanks to all for helping to make stay comfortable and soul soothing during a very sad time of my life!
Nothing really. Honest! I like places that are not a "formula" like a hotel chain. However FYI there is no elevator (not a problem for me because I like walking stairs) Be sure to ask if accommodations are wheelchair friendly if that is your requirement.
Delightful downstairs interiors. Kind attention shown by staff. Ideal place to stay before sea crossing, to unwind, and in any event. Even though I didn't make it till the following morning! Unusual generosity of owner.
All of it
Good location It was clean
Unwelcoming Bad lighting especially on the stairs Didn't like the astro turf carpet ensuite too small and didn't like a curtain instead of doorDidnt like all the fancy bits in the room There was a knob missing off the draw
Well stocked kitchen and nice toiletries
Lobby could do with some refurbishment.
Stayed mid week for one night so was very quiet. Very clean and slept well. Didn't charge me for breakfast as I only had cereal, toast and tea.
no mention of the 3 flights of stairs so was difficult for me when I have a disability.
Room was compact with everything to hand, bed was comfortable. Staff were helpful and courteous.
TV didn't seem to work, parking was on the main road, decor was a bit tatty.
staff was really helpful and a great breakfast .
had a lot of problems with shower.
10 - 15 minutes from the ferry terminal. Very handy and a great room price
Could omly stay one night.
friendlyness of staff on arrival, delt with proffessionally and quickly
non residents smoking outside and drinking before ten in the morning
If you can appreciate that the owners are into their art then you will understand the quirkiness of the rooms.very nice helpful people.good bar facilities, good breakfast,
