Quirky and interesting decor. We had the apartment, very well equipped with expensive fittings and a great sea view Inconsistencies, our daughter's room had a water cooler but no kettle, reception and bar look shabby, and unfinished look. Even our luxury room had a vacuum cleaner and mattress parked in the living room, and exposed wires in a wall socket

The position is great, the staff are friendly and while the facities are elderly and basic, it is clean, and the price is right for what you get. The guest lounges on either side of reception looked like a building site (while it wasn't obviously beong renovated (though it sorely needs it) with bags and things lying around making them unusable for guests. I found this a little strange....

Very friendly staff. Delicious food. Clean and tidy room. Nice and warm and cosy room. Beautyful seaview. Bubble bath. Bidé. Television, and cold water bottles. Romantic bed with hanging drapery. Third floor, no lift. Too small wardrobes. Squeaky, noisy bed while doing you know what. The safe in wardrobe could not use, though we did not bother to ask. Difficulties to know which side of the tap of water was warm or cold. In the basin the warm was to the left in the shower to the right. Hard to get the mixture right. The temperature in the bathroom was much colder than in the bedroom, wich was a bit awkward in the morning.

It is idealy situated for my interest of maritime photography. Apart from Felixstowe, Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth are not too far and both are bases for the offshore industry.

I loved that place: beautyful town and location by the seefront, very nice stuff and lovely decoration - TOP, very fresh breakfast in high quality - very special british, if You like that for a good price - I will come back. Easy free parking too. When You don´t like it the english way, it is perhaps not perfectly clean - but it is a very old charming building - so stay abroad ore yust enjoy this.

Nothing - except the food was good. The food was very good and the lady who looked after the desk was excellent. The room and bed was clean. The single room was about the worst decorated room I have ever had the misfortune to stay in. A power point was hanging out of the wall, and the shower hot/cold had seized up and I scolded myself as it only had one position - hot.. The food was very good and the lady who looked after the desk was excellent.

Everything - shabby, cramped, flighty carpet, terrible bed, terrible bathroom, expensive with no breakfast. A far superior hotel closely, where we had dinner, was £57 for 2 including breakfast.

Bediening is uiterst vriendelijk.

I liked nothing about it. How others can give it a good rating is beyond me. A bed, not cheap, with dirty linen, both hairs and stains. A floor un cleaned, but difficult to spot on a carpet that was worse. All just appalling.

We were upgraded to an apartment which was very good albeit not quite finished and lacked a wardrobe! Breakfast was very substantial. Not so good eating breakfast next to the bar were there were people drinking alcohol at 9am.
