The Sheffield Metropolitan Hotel    

Friendly staff - adequate, decent rooms for a reasonable price.

The staff we very helpful in explaining the best place to park and how to get about the city centre. The room was clean and presentable. The bed was spacious and there was little to no noise disturbance.

The room had some signs of over wear such as chipped varnish along some surfaces but nothing to really complain about.

Located within easy walking distance of city facilities

The front of hotel is hidden away, needs to be more noticable

breakfast was excellent due to not a lot of people in hotel it was made fresh

Folks at the reception were outstanding!

Everything would not stay here again, Very poor bar also the food dose not open on a Sunday !!! The walls are like paper you here everything going on and I mean everything!

Close to everything , we went to Sheffield arena and was in walking distance to trams and shopping

Hotel exterior appearance was very tatty No Parking facility other than local car parks Cooked breakfast was disappointing suppose to be buffet style and was served on a plate with hot tin tomatoes swamping the plate. .

Very moderately priced and good value as breakfast was included. Beautifully cooked poached eggs though tinned tomatoesGood sized room and provided blankets and sheets as requested.Staff very pleasant as before

Location a little out of the centre (though within 15 minutes walk of the station) Didnt like the plastic undersheet as it made the bed very hot. Area rather run down

first impressions of the outside of the hotel (the building beside the hotel) are a little scary. but once inside all really good.

the coffee,(awful) a good hotel will always serve quality coffee.the matress on my bed was a memory foam type....not nice as too firm.the room was very dusty, I could of filled a jar it was so bad.didnt smell as though polish had been used in room. the room was furnished with old style facilities ...badly needs updating....no iron and board.

staff very helpful asked for quiet room as we were there for swimming completion this was no problem clean staff were great

we go away a lot especially to Sheffield for swimming comp as my daughter is a gb swimmer but the only down side was the meals and the pricing and when you can be staying for up to 5 nights and they only want pasta and salads and jackets

Beds were very comfy

only stayed one night so didn't have a long stay experience

Clean and comfortable room and bathtoom. Everything is more than good, nearly excellent. Defenitely, for the prise the hotel offers is even a little bit more than i expected.

There is no breakfast, but this not important for me. I do even prefer to pay less with no breakfast, instead of pay more with breakfast.

Wasn't told about parking availability when booking and had to pay exorbitant price elsewhere
