Fantastic location, friendly and committed staff, nice indoor pool, generous rooms with stunning views

Individual character, friendly staff, clean comfortable room.

Staff created a very welcoming atmosphere and could not do enough to help. Would definitely stay there again and recommend it to others.

Vegetarian options a little thin on ground on menu, but staff made me feel that they'd do anything they could to meet my preferences.

The Minerva straight location was extremely attractive and the fact there was a pool and sauna was also a draw. Staff were friendly but not overly helpful.

Sauna wasnt on when we came to use it. The room was basic and had only a view of the car park. The bathroom was poorly finished and we weren't able to eat in the hotel.

A relaxed and cosy hotel in a great location and good value. The staff really went out of their way to be welcoming and helpful. We'd booked standard double and twin rooms and were given an upgrade on arrival to a suite overlooking the Menai Straights and the marina. This was designed to make the most of the wonderful view and I'd strongly recommend asking for a sea view when booking.

We originally were planning to stay in Caernarfon after touring the castle but could not find any decent accommodation available there so tried the Hotel Port Dinorwic instead. On arrival we were given an upgrade to a huge room with a stunning view of down the Menai Strait. This is a family run hotel and the owner couldn't have been more helpful. They recommended a restaurant two mins walk away down the hill which we tried and was indeed excellent. We would definitely go back to this hotel if in the area again.

The staff were wonderful. It was like being welcomed and cared for by family.

Quiet, spacious and comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff.

My wife and I wanted a nice weekend break and with the help of the staff at the hotel we had a really relaxing time, The staff were friendly and helped in any way they could, giving suggestions on where to go around Anglesey, booking a lovely restaurant just at the bottom of the small hill to the hotel and the view from our room looking over the straights made getting up in the morning a delight.

The location. The views. The food. Mostly the people - the owner and staff were brilliant.

Its location was fantastic, the room was a three bed, a double and a single off the main room, which was good as it meant we only had to reserved one room, instead of two as we were taking our daughter to uni. The views are fantastic, overlooking the sea and the port.

It was very dated, needed a lot of money spent on it to improve standards and make it more up to date. Everything in the room seemed to be a bit of a mis-match i.e. the two beds were covered in completely different styles and colour of bedding. furniture didn't match and bin lids weren't attached, so when you pressed the peddle the lid fell off.

the tower room was secluded & the views fantastic. A spacious cosy appartment. main hotel was historic & well preserved. I wish we had more time there. will be returning asap

It gave us a good location and in a separate house on the site were able to function according to our own timetable - great holiday

Some of the house had loose fittings or needed some painting or replacement facilities e.g. faulty kettle, no cleaning materials (for self catering - some attention to detail would have improved things e.g. plug in kitchen sink. Overall though a good family friendly base and the staff were great particularly Mandy and Haydon but all staff very friendly and helpful.

Everything!! Lovely, lovely staff, great room with a great view, plenty of room for 4 (we stayed in Room 6, one of the penthouse suites), lovely food and the staff just could not do enough for you. Definitely going back. Loved it!!

The staff were freindly no problems there, and the location was nice also.

It was clear straight away the owners had no interest in the hotel, it was very dated and grubby we paid £180 for the night as we were traveling to Ireland thankfully the next day from Holyhead, if i'd booked for a week i would have been complaining alot, cupboard doors hanging off, dirty bins. Its a good job nobody was staying in the apartment below as the floor felt weak, there was a small amount of staff doing too many hours and they were spot on, but the hotel was a dump.
