Dorking
With stunning views out over Falmouth Bay, this AA 4-star bed & breakfast offers rooms with private bathrooms, residents' lounge, a bar, sun terrace and parking lot. Anacapri rests in a wonderful location overlooking the Blue Flag sandy beach of Gyllyngvase. Magnificent uninterrupted views across Falmouth Bay give a breath of the Mediterranean. The pretty center of Falmouth with cobbled streets, famous harbor and the National Maritime Museum are a short walk from the hotel. Beautiful coastal walks are also nearby. The bedrooms are modern with a contemporary feel. Once again, stunning sea views are seen from the lounge, most bedrooms and exterior terrace. Hotel Rooms: 16

Well priced, clean, comfortable, well run. Ideal for us to use as a base to walk around coast and look around locality. Not too bad for town centre either

The bedroom was really good. Large triple windows giving fantastic views of the sea/beach. There is not a restaurant there, apart from a breakfast room which was bright and clean. This meant that we went and explored the area for interesting food. Breakfast was good and set you up for the day. Croissant or Danish pastries on offer would have been good tho' if you did not want cooked

Very clean and tidy hotel with fantastic sea view from the 'superior double' room. Bed and pillows a bit soft for us but this is a personal comment and you cannot please everyone.

Lovely location. Just back from the main road but with almost unrestricted splendid sea and beach views. Very good breakfasts. We had a lovely room on the second floor. However the en suite was tiny but the shower worked well. Pity there is no lift, the last flight of stairs is difficult for older people with luggage.

Very clean, breakfast good. No lift, for elderly relative and room on 2nd floor. Think it should be clearly stated in hotel description.

The hotel looked good from the outside and the location near by the sea meant I could jog along the seafront not too far away. The actual room was well presented with a modern look and a flat screen TV with lots of channels, very clean and a quiet nights sleep. Well served at the breakfast table which was a clean and bright room

The breakfast was up to normal standards Our "superior" room was poorly furnished with only one chair. The en-suite was tiny, less than a metre wide. We were very disapointed with this room.

The cleaniless of the hotel was exceptional. The rooms overlooking the garden were a bit small but the location was a short walk from the town centre and the access to the beach was very near. The best bit though was the breakfast. It was not precooked. You were served with a freshly cooked breakfast of your choice. All in all very good value for money.

“Absolutely amazing place to stay. A beautiful b&b in a beautiful location. Simon and Vanessa are great, warm and welcoming hosts and I would recommend anyone going anywhere near Falmouth to stay at the Highcliffe. The breakfast was also delicious, with all the ingredients locally sourced! So gutted we only stayed there for one night but we are already planning to go back soon! ” Chirag, London |
