The hotel was spotlessly clean throughout. The breakfast was always piping hot and cooked to prefection each morning. The bed was hard, but I do like a soft bed. Location was good. I can understand that the steps up to the front door might be a problem for some, especially at the end of a long day exploring. Overall a wonderful few days and would recommend it to anyone.

Andy and Helen were lovely hosts. The rooms are newly refurbished and ours was lovely. The breakfast was excellent. The hotel is in an ideal situation. We were close to the town, restaurants and had Torquay museum, which we wanted to visit, very close by ( about 100 yards away!) We only had a short stay but plan to go back for a longer visit next year. There was so much more to do and we would love to go back to Hotel Barton as our base. There was nothing negative for us at Hotel Barton.

It was close to shops and harbour and very clean and pleasant atmospher The room we were in although very nicely decorated, for a "super kingsize bed" was to small and dark had to have the lights on all the time kept banging are legs on the metal frame of the bed came home covered in bruises :-(
