Very impressed with cleanliness and comfort. Andy and Helen were very welcoming and helpful catering to all our needs. I would definitely recommend to friends and family. Steep steps at front access could be difficult for less agile, though easier access through fire door at rear if they were accompanied.

The Hotel is in a great location close to the centre of Torquay, the owners are friendly and welcoming. They also provide covenient free parking. And a lovely breakfast that kept us going all day. We would definatly stay at the Barton when we visit Torquay again, and would be pleased to recomend it to anyone looking for a good b&B.

Andy and Helen are very good hosts, very friendly and accomodating. We were very well looked after and Helen cooked a very nice breakfast. The hotel is well situated with a 10 minute walk to the marina and town centre. We will stay there again if ever visiting Torquay.

The hotel staff were so incredibly frindly and helpful . My room was impecably clean as was the rest of the hotel . It was very close to the centre of Torquay and close to an excellent church . You could get buses to almost all the tourist attractions nearby .I would go there again definately ! Although it didnt matter to me the hotel was situated up a hill with further steep steps to get to the entrance and most rooms were on the first or second floor . This might prove difficult for people with limited mobility .

Very friendly owners yet still retaining an excellent level of professionalism. They were very knowledgeable of the local area and able to suggest additional places of interest, outside of the many leaflets and booklets available in the reception area. Excellent breakfast, well cooked, hot and plentiful.

The welcome by Andrew was very warm and friendly informing us also of all we needed to know ie: parking ,keys and dining. We were more than pleased with our room which was Bright with lovely decor and spotlessly clean. Lovely white fluffy towels and plenty of tea & coffee etc on the tray for our use which was filled each of the days we were there . The breakfast was Great with plenty of it ......The Hotel was a great find and we will be returning on our next visit to Torquay

The Hotel Barton is a minute's walk from Torquay's harbour and town centre, on a secluded road with no noise of an evening. The staff are friendly and the breakfasts are very good. I would recommend it and would stay there again.

From the moment I arrived the atmosphere was really friendly and professional. My room was spotlessly clean with lovely modern decor and all the facilities I needed including Freeview TV, good shower, nice shower gel. Breakfast also excellent - proper bacon, generous helpings. Highly recommend this little gem.

Was over the moon with the location, literally a stones throw from the harbour and the right end of town for all of the shops, pubs and restaurants. The whole place was spotlessly clean and modern, the owners tended to our every need but were at the same time non intrusive. The breakfast was top class and certainly good value for money. Would highly recommend to anyone stopping over in Torquay, be it a day or a week.
