Hotel Cladhan  

All staff were most courteous and helpful. Excellent choice of menu in the restaurant at very reasonable cost. Breakfast was fantastic, just the ticket to set you up for the day ahead. Although the hotel is undergoing some renovation at the moment, it did not seem to affect the efficient running and it is going to be very nice when completed. Would definately return here if back in this area.

Room was a bit too hot, could have done with some air con and the bathroom Xpelair did not work so got a bit steamed up.

We booked late as weather was bad and had a party night for Xmas. We shared a quadrupal room and it was great value for money and just as cheap as paying for 2 taxis!

We stayed at the cladhan hotel with our 6 year old daughter. The room was very spacious, nice and clean the staff were very pleasant to deal with, would definately book again.

The bed was comfortable. The service at breakfast was miles better than the service the evening before. I was pleasantly surprised that despite the place being over run by students, I had a very quiet night: thank you students: your behaviour did not typify the expected norm of students.

Do not order room service unless you want cold food. The attitude of the girl who came to retrieve my dinner was nothing short of appalling: I am not interested in how far the kitchen is from the room or her view on room service.The hotel was clearly undergoing refurbishment from the amount of exposed cables and burst plaster around the walls.

Rooms were fine and OK. Did not spend a great deal of time in the hotel to be honest. Cost of room was good and breakfast was OK as well although it finished to early for a Sunday.

There was no view out from the hotel. Seems to be unfinished renervation work going on and it does not give a good first impression. Cables pinned to walls etc. Thought breakfast was pre cooked and heated up in a microwave or food kept hot for some time.

Staff were lovely. Had the funeral tea for my Mum and couldn't have asked for anything nicer. Will definitely stay at the Cladhan on my next trip to Falkirk.

My one and only complaint is....... The lack of a decent mirror in the room!!

Could not find fault with the hotel. The staff particularly are a great assett to their employers. Each and every staff member I encountered were friendly, helpful, and non-intrusive. I enjoyed the stay immensely.

This is not a criticism about the hotel, the location in Falkirk was excellent, however, my difficulty was that I had problems in finding my way by car around the town centre. With hindsight I should have contacted the hotel in advance and asked for specific directions. I have no sat.nav. And had difficulty driving and following an aa routeplanner. Is there any chance Directions markers could be erected on route from the M9. Just an idea.

Hotel need to be updated. Brown bedding very off putting and carpets were shabby. In fact the hotel was very tired looking.
