All staff were most courteous and helpful. Excellent choice of menu in the restaurant at very reasonable cost. Breakfast was fantastic, just the ticket to set you up for the day ahead. Although the hotel is undergoing some renovation at the moment, it did not seem to affect the efficient running and it is going to be very nice when completed. Would definately return here if back in this area. Room was a bit too hot, could have done with some air con and the bathroom Xpelair did not work so got a bit steamed up.

Paticularly the location and the food service. There were renovations going on at the time of our stay and that, of course, be a tiny bit of a negative.

The Restaurant Food was excellent value, beautifully cooked & extremely well presented. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble for the Staff who were attentive & helpful. Breakfast was absolutely delightful, never in all my Hotel visits have I enjoyed my start to the day. A wonderful choice of Menu, a lovely clean, fresh , well-aired dining room - absolute perfection. We were of a mind to kidnap the Chef- I took great pleasure in thanking him for a job well done ... he was so modest ... I do not believe he is aware of how good he is at spoiling people ! We attended for a small Reunion- the food was of a lesser quality & quite honestly, in retrospect, we would have been better eating in the Restaurant. We may well have been let down by the Reunion Organiser as the entertainment was lack lustre & quite dreadful ...he chose that !

Very central for shopping. Cenral heating was not working during our stay and had to ask for a heater when the weather was actually snowing. On arrival we were not informed that the central heating had broken down.

The staff here are priceless. Always friendly and helpful. A special mention here for Carmen - Handled a very tricky situation the Management had caused with aplomb. The restaurant is very good value for money too. The downside to this hotel is the Senior Management. They really don't deserve, or seem to appreciate, the quality of their staff. The Management also need to understand the significant difference between maintenance and refurbishment. Rewires are not maintenance!!!

Staff were lovely. Had the funeral tea for my Mum and couldn't have asked for anything nicer. Will definitely stay at the Cladhan on my next trip to Falkirk. My one and only complaint is....... The lack of a decent mirror in the room!!

The room was very clean and comfortable. The food was excellent and staff very friendly. There was exposed wiring in the stairwells and corridors which I felt was a risk and took away from how nice the hotel was to stay in.

Location is good and breakfast staff / room service staff were very friendly and helpful. Having a room directly above the function suite is not condusive to sleep before midnight on occasions. Carpets on stairs are def pretty tatty.....

Very helpfull friendly staff and good location for town visit. There was a wedding reception the night we stayed and we were in a room directly above therefore it was quite noisy. It would of been nice to of been informed of this when we booked.

Could not find fault with the hotel. The staff particularly are a great assett to their employers. Each and every staff member I encountered were friendly, helpful, and non-intrusive. I enjoyed the stay immensely. This is not a criticism about the hotel, the location in Falkirk was excellent, however, my difficulty was that I had problems in finding my way by car around the town centre. With hindsight I should have contacted the hotel in advance and asked for specific directions. I have no sat.nav. And had difficulty driving and following an aa routeplanner. Is there any chance Directions markers could be erected on route from the M9. Just an idea.

Hotel Cladhan is situated a short walk away from the shopping centre of Falkirk and is a very popular place for tourists to stay and for hosting wedding receptions etc. It has a pleasant atmosphere and the staff are smiling and helpful. The rooms are of generous proportions with comfortable beds and bedding and good bathrooms. The large windows at the front overlook the hotel carpark, another carpark, not greatly used, and flats beyond. This view is fine and there is also a supermarket opposite if you need to buy anything quickly and don't want to walk into town! The breakfast offered plenty of variety and the wait to be served was minimal. We will definitely stay there on every visit to Falkirk where we have family. There is nothing on the negative side to report.

Good Food. ( Breakfast & Evening Meal ). The Staff were very friendly. The rooms were functional & clean. Located within a short walk of the Town Centre. There are renovations taking place. Bedroom walls thin and floor boards very noisy. No Lift. Overall decor a bit dated.

The staff were particularly helpful. This was a budget hotel and I should have known that for the price there was to be nothing special, however the breakfast was particularly poor and the tea was dispensed from an urn. It tasted foul.

“Wonderful comfortable bed had a great sleep! Also the food was fabulous and at £10 for three courses it is one of the best bargains I have come across for a long time! Staff were courteous and friendly. A central location and easy to get to all in all I really enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend to everyone. M.Dalrymple.” Maureen, Kilwinning |
