Beds were very comfortable
No bar area to sit at night only reception
We had booked a double room but had 2 single beds pushed together with 2 single duvets, not what we expected and a bit disappointing
Neatness if the hotel
The room and bed are too small
Close to 2 tube stations and bus stops easy for travelling.
The staff was unfriendly, they need to improve more on the reception staff! It feels uncomfortable going in and out of the hotel because of them.
The room was very clean and comfortable and the location is great.
It would have been good to have an optional blanket in the room. However, the under floor heating in the bathroom was lovely.
Room was modern but absolutely not suitable as a triple room. The room was very small with no room for storage for 3 people. Rubbish bin was not emptied on arrival to our room and the blinds were black with dirt. On looking up booking.com since my return home we could have got a much better hotel for the same price.
Main door was closed and locked for at least 10 minutes at around 10pm with a note reading 'Back in 5 minutes'
Cost-Benefit and Location are the 2plus sides
the isolation of windows are poor, my bed was near the window and i catch some wind. wi-fi is paid...21st century
Shower. Reception lounge.
Pillows and size of bed and our room was small.
Location, Bathroom & Shower
It was not hot water in the hotel
The location was good, easy to get around by foot or tube.
From the moment we tried to check in, the staff were unhelpful and unaccommodating. We arrived to our room to discover it smelled like smoke and when we asked the staff about it, we were told that was not possible as the smoke detector would have gone off. But upon returning to our room we realised that the smoke detector was dismantled and had to go back to the front desk yet again. They finally agreed to change our room after us insisting (we are non-smokers and expect a non-smoking room), and found it strange that cleaning staff or anyone else had not noticed this had occured in a 'non-smoking' hotel. We also found upon arrival that the wifi (which was not free and extremely overpriced, but ok, they have to pay for it too I guess) wasn't working. Despite being told someone was coming to fix it shortly, it wasn't fixed until late the following day - very inconvenient. We survived, but the staff were very rude any time we inquired. Finally, upon checking out our final day, we asked to leave our bags for a few hours until we went to the airport, and were told we had to pay 5pound per bag. When we suggested it might be a nice gesture to waive this fee given the issues we'd had with the room and the wifi, they answered with a resounding no. No room for negotiation, just no. It doesn't even cost them anything to store a bag, yet wouldn't offer this small token for the troubles we'd had over our stay. Needless to say we were not happy and would never stay again - if only for the rude and unaccommodating staff.
We checked in at 3pm & went out immediately. On our return at 11.15pm we lifted the duvet to get into bed, it had dirty linen on it. The stains were disgusting, there was body hair on the bottom sheet & pillow case too. It was obvious that the linen had not been changed & simply straightened. We complained to reception & asked for clean linen. They didn't bother coming to our room, half an hour later we had to go back & ask for the linen again. We were given 2 clean sheets - no duvet cover. When I spoke to the receptionist in the morning, I was told that the linen had been changed & wasn't dirty. I showed her the photo's I had taken & was made to feel as if I was lying. I have yet to hear back from the hotel about my complaint. I truly believe that the double bed had been slept in by somebody else and the duvet had simply been straightened up.
Tight space, thin pillows, uncomfortable beds.
location and comfort
The room, it was very disappointing.
Fanily room with good facilities.
Staff were quite helpful and accommodating in helping resolve issues.
parking not included and expensive charges by hotel for this. Unclean room on arrival, no hot water in the morning for a shower. Paid for family room and got 3 single beds!
Only five minutes to paddington station. Shops and restaurants around.
The quilt is too thin. Window is old and wind come through.
Looked like The carpet had not been hoovered for months!!!! Nasty!
wifi had to be paid for was expensive and didn't work as the guy on the counter says it was down and would not` be repaired until after my stay
THE BEDS ARE VERY COMFORTABLE. (SLEPT LIKE A BABY).
NO FREE WIFI
Location is great and staff was very helpfull! Rooms were a bit small but very clean and tidy!! Good value for money!
Rooms were a bit small
no free wifi - no free luggage deposit
The hotel is in Paddington and really close to the Paddington station. We were travelling with four people and booked the 4 bedroom in fifth floor. We paid 25 GBP per person per night which is a great deal for London. The beds are really comfortable and after we found out how the heating works everything was fine. Room is not big but its great value for money. We did not try the breakfast but you can book it for 3,5 GBP per person.
3 GPB per hour of WLAN is not modern standard. 3GBP per day would be acceptable.
