Hotel Edward is a friendly 3-star hotel in Westminster, close to Paddington Station and Hyde Park. Rooms have private bathrooms and come with basic modern amenities. The centrally located hotel is a convenient, budget base for London, not far from Oxford Street for excellent shopping. The staff is helpful and professional, and the front desk is open 24 hours a day. Around the hotel are many bars and restaurants, and London's West End entertainment is easy to access. It is a very smart and comfortable hotel in a fabulous location, easy for travel via Paddington Station. The tv in our room didn't work, and the breakfast is very basic (a choice of brown bread would have been good!), but otherwise a very good hotel.

Staff were helpful and friendly. Location was very good -- near Hyde Park. Room was small, clean and had a newly refurbished bathroom. Not luxury, but worth the price. Continental breakfast was adequate, but don't go there for the food. Unfortunately the elevator was not working the day we arrived and we were on the third floor. Otherwise, no complaints.

Exellent location, close to everything. Comfortable beds, and a pc/internet to use if you need. I suspect the elevator is permanently out of order. No problem for us as we stayed on 2nd floor and are not disabled in any way.

Hotel Edward was great value for money. It was clean and comfortable, easy to find and close to many attractions. The breakfast was very basic. An option to upgrade to cooked breakfast would have been appreciated.

The location was great, the room was a bit small but as we did not spend much time in it we really did not mind. At booking we were told a travel cot could not have fitted in the room, altough it was small you could have got one in! It's a bit silly but we all hate full fat milk and there was no alternative at breakfast.

Hotel was great, beautiful modern rooms and really friendly staff. Work men working through out our stay. Hammering and drilling through paper thin Walls from as early as 7am. Me and my Fiancee was on a city break which the intention was to visit a few attractions as a present for our engagement and I requested a double room. We were given the room 208 which had two singles pushed together which also let the hotel down. The room maid was prompt to knock on the door to kick us out at 11am which I thought was abit cheeky, as me and my Fiancee had had our morning snatched away from us really. Can't comment on the breakfast either because we were too tired to go downstairs after being woken up frequently. It's a big shame because the hotel looks great and staff are friendly, but I am truly not happy with how we were treated as it was abit of a joke. Builders staring at my Fiancee. Builders drilling and banging at 7am (more chance of sleeping in a jail cell) Twin beds instead of a double bed Not being informed building works were under construction in the Hotel before making my booking.

the location of the hotel is really good! Within minutes walk to tube stations lancaster gate and paddington, and Hyde park. Comming from Victoria station, it is an easy 20 minute walk through Hyde park. The hotel can use some refurbishent, but nothing its still alright. The room was quite small, but has everything you need, very clean, a nice bed and digital tv. Little noise from the road outside, but not disturbing. Breakfast was very simple, but still alright. Breakfast room basic furnished, and you are supposed to have left at 9.30. Good value for money, great location! very simple breakfast (serverd only 7.30 - 9.30), clean up under your nose at 9.30.

The location is unbeatable- central to Paddington Station and Tube which puts all of London within easy reach. Receptionist was helpful and friendly. Room was clean. Shower had lots of hot water. Lift was an added bonus. Room size was fine, I've certainly had smaller. All in all it was a decent room for a short stay - I had no complaints. Bed was hard and small - I'm only 5'6" and it was just long enough.

Location excellent. Small room, small bedroom but it's usuall in this type of buildings. Pure breakfast (no knife if you arrive after half past eight ;)) Elavator doesn't work while our staying. I had to pay for expense at the reception for the credit card payment. It was cca. 12 GBP which is cca. 4% of the total payable amount. It was not too fair, by the way the payment with credit card (MC) has to be free of expenses. The invoice does not indicated as payment expence...

Staff were really helpful convenient for Paddington station and good restaurants. We had quite a few cases, on arrival the hotel lift had broken down so the staff moved us to the basement flat for easy access to avoid us having to carry them up five floors, very considerate

The room was clean up to date with modern facilities. Excellent with tv and freeviee a lot of storage and excellent clean and new bathroom facilities The continental breakfast had minimal options.and the breakfast room.let the building down on design and comfort. It was out of date with little.embiance. And didn't encourage you to stay for long. Might be better not offer breakfast or offer a wider selection I.E. Croissants diff breads for.toasting. No issues with the room or check in.

Proximity to Paddington Station. Newly redecorated rooms with stylish dark wood and zen-like decor. Good sized double bed was comfortable. Air conditioning worked fine Very tiny room, less than two feet from bedside to wall. Only flat sheet over mattress that came loose. Very tiny shower that a larger person just could not use without getting stuck in the 2 foot square space. Colleague used lower level toilet next to the breakfast room and reported that it was so dirty that he recommended I not eat breakfast down there.
