We hardly ever go away but had a birthday + 40th anniversary. Just a short stay for us - we did rather want somewhere special, and found it. Nice conversion of the buildings [am an architect], thoroughly pleasant staff - food, comfort & 'feel' just right. In a word, the feel. |

very nice room and lovely bar the staff were very moody in the morning, especially the manager, who appeared to be bullying a member of her team right in front of the customers! and the £3.50 charge for room service was a joke!! |

The atmosphere of the hotel was friendly but respectful. The staff were able to answer queries quickly and effectively. The meal we had in the restaurant was excellent and the service attentive. I had requested a twin room but the room we were assigned was made up as a double so the staff had to come in and alter the bed to twins We had reqested that this was done while we were at dinner but they arrived before we left the room which was inconvenient. |

The youthful staff were all very friendly and helpful.Sunday Lunch[£12 95/£16 2/3 courses was excellent value and delicious. We had a delightful table near the window and although November, the garden looked charming. We had been warned by reviews about the modern conference style buildings so enjoyed our time in the old part of the hotel. As we were on a very good Sunday night deal the stay was for us remarkable value. I wouldnt choose to go there at the full price but we are intending to return if we can have the deal again. We are also telling our friends who live in Cambridge about Sunday lunch. We spent Sunday evening in town so were glad of a Bar[ lighter options ]supper. We appreciated the fresh milk in the fridge for tea and coffee. We had a car so were able to travel into Cambridge on Sunday evening.[and park]We would have used the bus but it only goes twice an hour and stops at six on Sundays. The service seems better during the week so travellers who wanted to sight see could do so easily during the week using a timetable supplied ,thoughtfully,by reception on request. The hotel is out of town and parking is tricky in Cambridge |

Quiet situation, well appointed room, pleasant dining room and good quality well prepared breakfast. The staff were pleasant, polite and, in the main, attentive. At breakfast it was noticeable that the young staff, while polite and pleasant, were much more attentive to tables of young diners and the complaint that some older people voice of becoming 'invisible', seemed to be born out. |

breakfast very nice if a liitle expensive, rooms nicely decorated and comfortable, overall staff seemed helpful. drinks and food overpriced. The hotel is very nice but lacks a lot of finishing details and a level of service which you would expect for 4 stars. |

The mopst important thing for us was that our dog could stay with us. Wonderful location just outside the City but with country just outside, which was ideal for taking the dog for a walk.Polite, friendly and helpful staff. Well-maintained premises and grounds. |

The hotel & rooms were immaculate. Staff were very friendly & extremely accommodating (we had a child under 2 with us). It was perfect for a weekend in cambridge, although a fair way from the town there's a bus stop outside that goes into town every 5-10 minutes. We ate around 9pm in the bar - service was great but the portions were tiny & overall not great, it looked like it was the end of the night & they were possibly running out of food. |

The hotel is in very pleasant surroundings, well appointed with good facilities and pleasant staff. It would be better value if breakfast was included in deals. It's also a shame it isn't a little nearer to Cambridge, though of course this can't be helped! |

Spacious room. Liked the fesh carton of milk in the fridge for tea and coffee! Friendly bar and reception staff. Breakfast was good. On arrival at our room we had to ask for a room change as the window frame was broken letting in cold air and noise. |

Comfortable, efficient and friendly hotel and we enjoyed our stay. The decor was stylish and the hotel was very clean. The continental breakfast was very good quality but it was quite limited. We drove into Cambridge in the evenings as it was a bit too far to walk. Car park at the hotel is spacious and there is no charge. Would stay at this hotel again. Breakfast limited and virtually all extras at the hotel had to be paid for. e.g. no biscuits in room, no free bottles of water. |

Upon arrival we had the pleasant surprised that we had been upgraded. The room was nice, big and well decorated. The bed was very comfy! The surrounding are also very nice. Although the hotel is strictly "out of town", it's not far from the city centre and the University ... it took us only 30 min to walk to the centre at a fairly leisurly pace. |

In acres of beautiful grounds, Menzies Hotel and Golf Course is just 5 miles (8 km) from Cambridge, on the A14. There is a gym and 2 tennis courts. |
This hotel is beautifully located across the road from the River Cam and Jesus Green, a short walk across the park from the city centre and a wealth of architecture. |
Doubletree is in the centre of Cambridge, beside the River Cam. There is a Riverside Brasserie and a health club with indoor pool, gym and spa. Some rooms have river views. |
This hotel enjoys a prime location in the heart of the city centre, walking distance from Kings College and the many universities, with easy access to Cambridge Business Park. |
