Fantastic decor and very modern, comfortable rooms. Great restaurant and good breakfast. Overall, on the pricey side - but thoroughly enjoyed the night we stayed there. |

We very much liked the whole set-up of the hotel, with its beautiful and special main building, the terrace and the lovely gardens. The service was very good with friendly and competent staff. We also liked the excellent quality of food. Definitely a hotel to recommend to our friends and colleagues. |

Friendly staff and very clean. The bedroom was extremely hot as a result of their air con where the temperature could not be reduced; even with the windows open we struggled to sleep. At this price it was completely unacceptable. In addition, every where you turn there is something they are trying to get you to buy to increase your spend - a little less of this please we don't travel Ryanair for good reason and don't want a similar experience at a hotel! |

Room cleanliness The hotel staff got very defensive for not being able to find an extra bed for my daughter and as an excuse someone on the phone told me that I made a reservation 2 days before my trip and that I had to find it aceptable that there could be such a problem and that they had little time for the full arrangements. |

We enjoyed the comfortable bed , bathroom and general ambience. Also its convenient distance from the centre of Cambridge. We were paricularly impressed by the Dining/ Breakfast room , and the most courteous service there on each of our three mornings. |

Breakfast and lunch on the terrace was a real bonus. Hotel was very convenient for the city of Cambridge without being in the middle of the bustle. Not major but there was more noise from the nearby road than expected. (As the weather was hot we had to have the window open.) No air-conditioning but then no doubt that's better for the environment. Would also have expected complimentary water in the Superior room. |

The room was large enough for our big cases, the bathroom clean and modern and the bed very comfortable. We had a delicious meal in the restaurant and enjoyed the selections on the morning continental breakfast. Our only suggestion was having a more comfortable chair(s) for reading in the room. However, both evenings we were there we enjoyed the smaller room off the dining room with comfortable couches and chairs. We read in that room after dinner and were not disturbed. |

The rooms were very clean and contemporary, the beds were extremely comfortable. The dining room was beautiful and I liked the artwork. It would be nice if there was a leisure centre - particularly a pool. |

The grounds were beautifully maintained and spacious. The Reception staff were friendly and welcoming and the porter carried our cases to our room. The room was spacious, moderndecor and very clean. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. In no way do you feel that the hotel is in the middle of a trading estate. The food was delicious but did not feel it was good value for money as it was very sparse - even by nouvelle cuisine standards. The hotel must have made a fortune from the bakewell tart as it was a minute portion of tart and clotted cream - however it was very nice. |
