With free Wi-Fi throughout, the Regency Hotel Parkside offers contemporary accommodation close to Baker Street Tube Station in central London.
Score from 618 reviews Very good
In the heart of London's West End, Regency Hotel is a charming Victorian property, a 3-minute walk from Baker Street Tube Station. Oxford Street is a 10-minute walk away.
Score from 480 reviews Good
Old style hotel which seems tired but the facilities seem ok and everything works. Good tea / coffee making facilities and the air con works well.
It was a little old and one oddity was the unplugged trouser press which needed a plug but that was behind the cabinet with the TV etc in it. I am not a contortionist!
Great location Staff very polite Reasonably priced Good breakfast
Room very warm (but there was an air condition unit) Shower not very good
Staff very friendly and helpful. Good location for Regents Park, Madame Tussauds, Wigmore Hall, Oxford Street shopping etc. Appreciated full English breakfast. Ideal hotel for single traveller.
location, helpful staff
dated decor, average quality breakfast
Very central; quiet street; very helpful staff
The tv didn't work; the room was stuffy and VERY small,
Nothing at all
Just the location
Air con...!!! Very pleasant staff
Very very small bathroom
Bed & good pillows very clean TV Channels Towels were soft and very white Reception Feels safe/good location Tea service Politeness
No toiletries Smallish room Noisy people on street(I might have had an unlucky night)
Good friendly service Great location
The very nice ladie who serves the breakfast! Very friendly, good breakfast! Good location near subway and near nice restaurants, shops and regent park.
Excellent location within easy reach of main line rail and tube stations. Surprisingly quiet for central London. Very helpful staff. Good breakfast and good value for money.
Wifi connection very patchy and very slow.
Great location, just off marylebone high st. Great bars, restaurants and supermarkets nearby. Easy walk into the west end.
Hotel in need of an update. Breakfast okay but not generous.
Perfect for the occasional London stopover - 5 minutes from Baker Street and the tube. Staff very helpful and friendly.
Breakfast room not quite big enough for all the guests! (And the waitresses got very flustered and mixed up a few breakfasts - suggest a better ordering system?)
I liked everything staff was friedly
Could of had bit more on the breakfast including beans.
Staff all very polite and accommodating and it was very clean. Fresh towels each day. Very convenient in a pleasant part of London. Such a pity about the decoration......the whole place could do with a real makeover. It would be worth it. I felt the price I paid was plenty enough.
It was rather tired and needs some refurbishment. Dining room below the ground floor was quite small, rather airless and poorly decorated. The shower in my room needed attention as there was only a small trickle of water and the plastic tubing from the tap head to the shower head was too short to enable a reasonable flow of water to provide a decent shower. It had to hand held !
Location is good. Breakfast attendant was kind and helpful.
The place is dated in furniture and facilities. The room looked good but at closer inspection everything about it was very impractical (furniture, elements of bathroom). Though big, the room was cluttered with unnecessary pieces of furniture. Staff was mostly unhelpful, with the exception of the breakfast attendent. Breakfast was a disaster, I went only once then chose to get breakfast elsewhere.
The staff was absolutely wonderful, nice helpful and friendly. The room was clean and had everything that was needed to make our stay very pleasant.
We didn't like the fact that the dining room was in the basement and that there were no windows and a steep winding staircase to get down there.
Staff and the service are excellent - extremely helpful, courteous and efficient.
décor/furniture in need of moderate updating for my personal tastes
Very comfortable room. Very friendly helpful staff.
Was very expensive
Location was great close to the underground and walk to Oxford st. Not overly expensive
TV had no decent reception - you couldn't watch it. WiFi was very slow and limited and I had to get a special gadget just to get it to work. Breakfast is very limited ie you can have either juice or coffee not both.
Great value B&B. Excellent staff and a terrific location allowing easy access to the tube and 10 minute walk to Oxford St
Anyone over 6 foot (i.e. me) will be unable to fully stretch out on the bed. WiFi was available but the service speed was too slow to make it usable for anything other than checking emails.
In the end some level of flexibility was applied to cancellation of the second night
Cancellation policy is slightly misleading and not too flexible. You cannot cancel any of the nights if you are two days before your arrival. I think the two days is fine, but should be before the night in question. However in my case the manager agreed to advertise the room again and since he managed to resell it agreed to cancellation for a small cancellation fee, which is fine.
Terrible Wi-Fi connection, almost impossible to use.
