We booked a small room for two with breakfast at £89 and the room (7) was easily large enough for us with a large bathroom. Our booking allowed us free use of the facilities, pool steam room, sauna, gym, garden and outside covered hot tub. The hotel has a coffee bar and a restaurant and the coffee is very good. We did not eat in the restaurant other than for breakfast, which was an ample continental. Le Spa was obviously a wonderful place once. Sadly, as it is awaiting planning permission to change to a care home (inquiry into this held 15th June) it is suffering neglect, lack of basic care and cleaning regime. Today’s Le Spa has long since lost its sparkle. The water feature in the garden has been filled in and the weeds are taking over, the spotlights have fallen and no-one can be bothered to pick them up, empty plastic cups litter the Spa area and no one from the staff can ‘see them’ (“the cleaner does all that when we’re closed”) A huge CCTV camera covers the jacuzzi by the pool and smaller ones the pool themselves, this presumably saves on staff bills. And, sadly whilst telling you it will cost you £30 if you take a room towel to the pool and don’t bring it back, and £200 to have the room cleaned if you smoke in it (we don’t smoke) the night porter sits in his room puffing away so smoke permeates everywhere anyway! The rooms whilst adequate are unloved, in a state of poor repair and unclean. It really is quite a shame as the main building and the gardens were obviously, once, so very ‘Le Spa’ !!

leisure facilities were excellent and clean.Swimming pool was good and they give you a robe to get back to your room We wanted bed and breakfast and were served with cereals and toast only as chef did not come intill later and we were expected to pay extra for hot breakfast.bathroom was dark and could not see well to have a shave. No window in my room which was hot by day and I had to open fire exit in my room for ventilation. Otherwise ok. We paid more than if we booked through agency.

Continental breakfast and not full English, but this isn't mentioned on the Website. Quality of food at breakfast was very poor. No waiting staff either. Tried to overcharge us for the room. Tried to give us an inferior room to the one we booked. Room was not clean.

Staff made us feel so welcome and like we we the only guests there. The service was second to none. The gardens and facilities of the spa, rooms and restaurant are all so well looked after. If your looking for a romantic relaxing get away I cant recommend this enough!! We stayed in Room 3 which was lovely.

We had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We went to Cirencster to visit a friend and we took her round Le Spa and she said she would definitely recommend it to friends. They couldn't find our booking so they upgraded us to a superior room which was a nice surprise. We had a lovely meal in the evening and the chef came out to ask us if we enjoyed it. If I have any negative comment it would be that the breakfast could be a little more inspiring. If we had paid the full price from the tariff in reception I would have been disappointed to have to pay extra for a cooked breaksfast. The facilities were excellent and the grounds and hot tub particulaly impressive. We would most definitely go again.

The restaurant service was poor, and we waited ages to be served. There was a lot of construction happening and it took away from the relaxing spa aspect-- boarded over pond, gravel, gardner's tools, etc out on the grounds.

T is useless saying you are a hotel with a restaurant and then not have the restaurant open. For Four stars - it clearly does not measure up. There was no one available at reception for quite some time- and then she told me it was not a Hotel it was a spa???? I booked this hotel as I needed internet and meals- not a spa!!!!

The spa facilities were the best part of our stay. The rooms were a little tired. The staff were mixed, the receptionist were good, but at breakfast a member of staff went to get us a coffee and never returned and there was no other staff to ask.

A lovely modern hotel with quirky decor, beautiful hotel swimming pool and spa tubs both inside and out.comfortable rooms. There was no staff in attendance throughout our stay which meant a lot of waiting around to find someone. The bar has been closed since November so we were unable to get drinks during the day or evening. The restuarant was also closed so we had to find another eating place in the evening which was inconvenient and the spa treatment rooms were also closed for the duration of our stay.None of this information was conveyed to us prior to our visit. If we had been notified of the restrictions we would not have stayed at this hotel.Very poor!

When we booked we were not informed that the spa facilities and the hotel bar and restaurant would not be open during our stay. Why go to hotel if everything is closed? We understood, after conversations with local people, that the hotel is to be sold. Plase take it off your register!

whilst awaiting the magic hour of 2 o'clock when we would be allowed into our room, we enjoyed the hot tub in the garden. We were entertained by fox cubs playing on the lawn. a little downtrodden

location, setting, external buildings Thursday before a bank holiday w/e at a Spa hotel you do not expect the sauna to be "out of order". When i inquired at reception they said "the element had gone and it was on order. It will be arriving on Tuesday." I find it incredible that the General Manager of a supposed 4 star Spa wouldn't get someone to specifically drive to pick it up / get it couriered to ensure the sauna was running properly for the w/e. The quality of the food was terrible. I was served red wine in a cocktail glass right up to the brim?! The waitress didn't know the difference between a cocktail glass and a wine glass. The carpets in the rooms looked like they hadn't been hoovered ever. When you rubbed your finger accross most surfaces in the room (bedside lamp, mirror, shelves etc) it was coated with a thick layer of dust. Do I need to go on...? One of the most disappointing hotel experiences I have had
