Basic cheap accommodation, very good value for money, friendly and welcoming staff. Ideally situated near Kings Cross tube station and within 15 - 20 minute walking distance of museum and Oxford street for shopping. Disturbed sleep by other guests who need to use the shared toilet facilities throughout the night and have little concern for other guests by being quite noisy. Would recommend staying in an en-suite room if available.

I almost got robbed on my way home one evening. When I told the front desk staff, they were extremely rude. I just wanted to tell them so they could warn other single females not to walk alone on the street at night. I would never stay here again.

Location was perfect - so close to King's Cross. I wasn't expecting much having stayed in other hotels in the area, but I was amazed by the relatively (for London) spacious room, comfortable bed, extremely clean furnishing and well-appointed bathroom.

- Excellent helpful staff (reception and at breakfast). You can leave luggage at reception after already checking out on your last day and pick them up when you leave for the airport/train. - Although a cramped room with a sloping floor (the door left a 5 cm gap underneath when closed), because of the age of the building, everything was clean and in working order. The beds were simple, but adequate, even if a little small for someone of 1.95m (6ft5"), with good quality mattresses and clean sheets. The room was booked for 3 adults, so I assume, with one bed less, there is more room if you book a 2-bed-room. Shower and toilet are separate, shared with 3-4 other rooms on the same floor. Both were clean and in good working order. - No ensuite bathroom or toilet, had to be shared with others. - could only use the bathroom (read: shower) during 8am and 9pm and breakfast would only be served between 7am and 9am, giving everyone in the hotel only a 1 hour window (8-9am) to wash/shower and have breakfast. The result is everyone wants to have a shower at the same time with only two showers for every 6-7 rooms per floor, and a very busy little breakfast room downstairs. - if you want a quiet breakfast buffet, this one is not for you. You are personally served English or continental breakfast by some very friendly ladies.

Charming Hotel, Good value for money - very reasonably priced for central London incl breakfast, Location was a big plus - central London and within 2 minute walk to St Pancras Int station, Kings Cross Station and Buses. I was able to get to everywhere I wanted to go with convenience. Restaurants, bars and quick food outlets all close by. Small room with ensuite but very clean and comfortable. Full English Breakfast - very nice. Staff at reception very friendly. I would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

The Hotel is very close to Kings Cross and Euston Stations but is in a quiet area with a small park across the road. I had a wonderful experience of a traditional London Terrace hotel complete with breakfast room down in the basement. I had a single room that was planned well and although small had everything I needed even a hot water jug, tea and coffee. The staff were friendly and accommodated my need for a quick breakfast with a smile. It was very good value for money, included breakfast in the price, spotlessly clean and had a modern bathroom.

The price was really good, 62 pounds for two including breakfast. The reception staff was really nice and helpful. Room was a bit smelly. The window was opened by the hotel staff while we were away which caused a security worry, as the room was on ground level.

The location is great. It was a bit hard to find it although it was really just half a block away from the King's Cross station. But you need to walk back a little from the crossing to get to the right street. It was small but clean. The staff helped me with my luggage to the third floor via stairs - very nice of him doing that.

The staff were all very nice and the hotel provides outstanding service for its cost. The bed was quite small for two people, especially as my husband is over 6 feet tall. The room was also small, which some reviewers had complained about, but we managed; real estate is costly in London, so one cannot expect a very roomy place.

Convenient location. The main problem I had was a disconnect between booking.com and the hotel's rules on credit cards. They don't accept Amex which was indicated on booking.com as acceptable. The result was I got a message that my card was declined "for insufficient funds". This caused me some angst until the hotel advised me directly what the problem was. This needs to be made clear with the booking.

The hotel was fab for the money! The location was perfect, the bedroom, toilet & shower room were spotlessly clean, the bed comfy & the tea making facilities & sink in the bedroom were very handy too. The breakfast was also lovely, there was a little wait with the breakfast room being small, but only about 5 mins, so wasn't an issue! I will definatly be staying there again! :-) For the money it was fab, no complaints!

I thought Hotel Meridiana was good value for money in London as most hotels in London are quite expensive. The Hotel is 5 minutes from the train station and tube station which is very handy. The room was basic standard for the price - which was expected as it was only for one night. At £80 for 2 people is the cheapest on the website that i could find nearest the train station/tube station. Hotel Meridiana was good for cleanliness. The breakfast was OK considering it was included in the price. The only thing i did not like about this hotel was the bathroom. The shower was not very good. it was awful because I could not adjust it to a right temperate. The shower scolded me because of a bad boiler!

I liked the breakfast the best! It was a hot breakfast with bacon, eggs, toast and sausage. And it tasted really good! Well the shower head broke and came crashing down cutting my fiance's face. The bathroom was very small. So small that if you sat on the toilet you would hit your knees on the pipes for the sink. The tv had only 5 channels and the shower was either freezing cold or scorching hot.

I liked the most that the hotel looked so nice. There were thick carpets on the floor, beautiful curtains, good beds with comforting pillows and a good little tv on the room. Everything was so clean and tidy. Really nice! I didn't like all the noise from the other guests at the hotel. The walls was thin, and the other guests was often very noisy. They yelled at eachother in the hallway and slammed the doors all the time. But that wasn't really the hotels fault.

Adequate basic budget accommodation close to Kings Cross station. Hotel charges the first night's rate as a non-refundable deposit. Did not notice this after booking was made. For this reason alone, I would never book this hotel again.

The staff was very friendly, the room was clean, the position was excellent and the English breakfast good. I really appreciated the sign that invited all the guests to be quiet during the night.... .... but you know, sometimes your floor becomes a big family (very rude guys closed to my room, don't forget your earplugs..)

The reception people both in the morning & the evening were so friendly and helpful. The room was small but I excpeted that and it did have everything we needed. The room was quiet and clean. They set out a china tea service in the room which was very nice. No elevator for those who require it, for someone with limited mobility this is not the best choice but if you are in even minimally good shape you're fine. The hotel is right around the block from King's Cross train station - so super easy to go anywhere. Its in a quiet area with a nice park right out front.

“The staff at Crestfield were absolutely friendly and helpful. The room was small as are all London hotels that are affordable, but I didn't mind it at all. The best part of staying at the Crestfield Hotel is the location. It is a block away from the King's Cross tube stop, which is in the heart of the city. Also, the Pancras International train station is there as well, making easy to grab a train to France/Belgium and the rest of Europe. Can't beat it!” Tony, Studio City |
