The price and neatness to public transport
small, noise from traffic and hole in floor
Noise but I shut the window the second night and it made a huge difference.
Good price and location. Excellent staff
A once off I suppose but I got stung by a wasp which had got into the bedclothes (and it's still itching 5 days later).
Very close to Earls Court Underground
Mouse loose in the room on our second night. Tried to get hotel to print our boarding passes and their email was not working. Had to access their computer myself to print them.
Bed was and shower were ok.
No lift so I had to carry lugage by the stairs. Carpets and curtains were durty.
Close to underground
Not very quiet at night would benefit from some type of double glazing.
Really good location, and 24 hour working staff. They are really helpfull.
To noisy. It is on the corner of a really busy road, especially at late nights.
The location and the bathroom
-Wifi works only in the stairs outside the room. -The bed is very little and it's hard to sleep. -Staff is not friendly. -Because there is not air conditionair we had to open the window and the noise from the street makes really hard to sleep. -They do not provide soap.
I came to the hotel at 2.30 am and it was not a single problem. Can't say much as went to sleep immediately, woke up and quickly left the place. That was a busy weekend :)
10£ for breakfast is quite high when you may have good breakfast just round the corner for half of it.
The neighborhood most that was near the centre of London, the price and the sleep that was comfortable.
Exzellent location with Costa or Greg's for breakfast, Underground station and pubs around the corner. Near to City center. Therefore Relation between price and achievement acceptable, but not good!
Poor room at a Main street - very noisy. During night only possible with closed windows (warm) or ear protectors. Room not clean. Poor facilities. Shower ok.
Location to underground
Staff were awful, room was dirty and very very dated, worse hotel I've ever stayed at, and certainly not value for money, please don't waste your money.
Position (100m from Earl's Court subway) Clean room Friendly staff
No elevator No air conditioning and no fan (the last floor - 3rd - is very hot in summer!) Loud traffic every time
The price, fast and free wifi in the reception area
The room in the basement is the worst; if you leave the windows open anyone can see inside from the street. There are some suspicious stains in the bathroom. If you're elderly, keep in mind there is no elevator and the flight of stairs could be a problem.
Near underground bathroom was quite good
Room was tiny bed base filthy and man couldn't even get in to fix the tv for us very noisy outside also I guess we got what we paid for but wouldn't go back
Was clean and tidy
The room was tiny, hot and very stuffy not air con or even a fan didn't sleep well due to being so hot. Not worth the money. Yes was cheapest but I'd rather pay extra £30 for a decent room with some form of air con.
The staff are pleasant, the location is good and the price while outrageous for what you get, is basically one of the cheapest options available in London.
We are a family of 4 so we booked the largest room they had. The room had three beds shoved into it and was in the basement - very hot in the summer. So we opened the windows to get a view of the ankles of various passersby. Bits of dirt tended to drift in and while we had bars over the windows, I wouldn't say we had privacy. Possibly the worst aspect was the desire for many at the Olympia to smoke. They could not smoke in their rooms but by golly, they could smoke on the street, next to our basement window. So all night long one would be fumigated by giant wafts of carcinogens, which while bracing can leave one a little discombobulated at 12 when the pubs are letting out and the inebriated occupants of room 6 feel the need for a fag. Still it was clean enough. Pillows were one to a person and were thinner than a 100 pound man on a diet.
Good location and generally good room.
Noise from road too high. Poor internet connection.
bathroom was decorated to a very good standard
sleeping accommodation was cramped and fitting on walls were poor. T.V. was poor on remote control and restricted channels. new updated flat screens need to be introduced.
The location of the hotel was perfect for our visit to Earl's Court for a specific event, and, as such, the price was reasonable (and within our limited budget) for the area in question.
Although the weather was hot and dry when we went to bed at around midnight, it began to rain heavily in the early hours of the morning. We were awoken at around 5.00am by rain dripping in through the ceiling in the corner of the room, bouncing off the bed's wooden headboard and splashing onto our faces. Obviously this disturbed our sleep and put a damper (literally) on our stay. When we told the lady at reception of the issue (as were checking out), she made a note of it and thanked us for bringing it to her attention; but offered no apology or recompense. This was a shame because (in terms of cost and location) the hotel suited our needs very well; and, while I would probably recommend the hotel to others (as far as its proximity to Earl's Court is concerned) I would certainly make them aware of the issue we experienced with our particular room.
Great location for a fair price in London! The room was very small, but as I just needed a bed for one night, it was fine.
Street was very loud.
The London feel of it all
The showers were good and had been refrrbished. 1 min walk from earls court
When we arrived the staff were pleasant enough however when we asked for an additional pillow because there were too thin and you got 1 each, they said no because he had locked the Cuboards up for the night and offered a towel instead to roll up. The room was quite small but I don't mind that. The issue was the state of it. I know that things get warn and don't expect a new bed etc. But there was damp and cracks up the walls, the tops of our table and wardrobe had dirt and mould on top. The window had been cracked with Sellotape over the crack, generally was really dirty and not what you exect to sleep in. We don't ask for much just for things to be clean, safe and working. We questioned the cleanliness of the room and was told we could have a different room however they said that they were going to charge us for changing rooms. We said that we are not paying which they excepted and moved us to a room that was cleaner, but again very warn and with damp mould up the walls and rooms that are like saunas to sleep in, keeping all heat in even with the windows open.
Location, pleasant staff
Dirty sheets, springs coming through mattress, dirty cracked windows, no toilet roll, and none provided on day I pointed this out, generally shabby. For all this criticism however I only paid £66 a night so what could I have expected.
