Hotel Peppers  

Booked purely by chance and what a find! We arrived to a fantastic welcome by the owners and we were promptly shown where to park our car which we were thankfully able to leave for the weekend as we were able to walk everywhere due to its close proximity to everything. The breakfast was fresh and you really could not of wanted for more, including my partner who is a vegetarian and is usually given the customary full english minus sausage and bacon but this was superb.....an actual provision for vegetarians!. We had not planned another trip down to Torquay but on the strength of this visit we know exactly where we will be staying next time.

Great welcome (fresh tea/coffee offered on arrival in addition to tea/coffee- making facilities in room) and kindness thoughout; excellent value for money; ideal location within easy walking distance of town centre, restaurants, leisure activities, etc.

Hotel Peppers is ideally located with shops, restaurants, bars and the beach just 5 minutes walk away. From the moment I arrived I was made to feel welcome and although I had not asked, I was upgraded to a small double room for no extra charge which was a nice gesture. The room was ideal and, after a long drive down, the tea and coffee facilities provided were most welcome. The only thing to bear in mind is that the hotel is a converted old house so noise from ensuite facilities in the room next door can be heard but is well tolerable. The best part of my stay was undoubtedly the breakfast provided the next morning. Wow! Cereals, fruits, yoghurts, croissants, toast, full english or a selection of smaller options if you couldn't handle all that. Excellent ... my compliments to the chef! All in all, I had a great stay and will definitely stay again if I am down that part of the country. I have no hesitations about recommending Hotel Peppers to friends as well.

Spotlessly clean Hotel, perfect location for harbour, shops, bars and restaurants. Viv and Gary (the owners) very welcoming and couldnt do enough for us. Room was lovely and first class breakfast, we would definately stay there again.

Parking could be a bit of a problem if the hotel was fully booked.

Very friendly and helpful hosts. Close to all amenities ie shopping, entertainment, restaurants, pubs, clubs all within walking distance. Though we did not have any issues with noise (very peaceful). They have a lounge and bar so you're not confined to your room. Private parking. Decent breakfast good selection/choice

Location, friendliness and an excellent breakfast. (definately not good for the diet !!)

With hindsight we wished we had taken room 5 because we found the on-suite too small also we found the bed a little hard but otherwise it was a lovely short break and we wished we had had the time to take your offer up of the 3rd night free.

A very good stay could only stay 1 night but will go back for a longer break in the spring, would recommend to all as was great value
