We stayed in the Steeple room which is one of the smaller rooms, but has everything you need. Perfect location to the Lea's and a short walk into town The staff were very friendly. The breakfast included in the price was fantastic and the home made bread and cakes were delightful. The staff also emailed us a list of local restaurants they had tried and tested, they even made reservations for us! The gentleman who managed the breakfast orders was very friendly and helpful. It is the customer service and smaller touches that makes all the difference. Will stay there again. Church bells early on Sunday morning were a little annoying, but can't do much about those! Everything else was perfect.

We only live in Margate but had arranged to see the Wombats playing at the Leas Cliffe Hall. As it was also our anniversary I decided to treat my husband To a night away. I couldn't have been more impressed or happy about my choice, so much so, we have decided to always book in there whenever we go to Folkestone and make a nice break out of it. Next time we will get There earlier and sit outside and have a glass Of complimentary wine/beer with some delicious homemade Cake. The breakfast was also lovely, and we didn't need to eat again till 6 that night. Thoroughly recommend, it's a freindly, V clean hotel.

The Relish hospitality was second to none. We were greeted warmly on arrival and there were some lovely touches including free tea, coffee, wine and homemade cake in a guest kitchen. The room was clean and had everything we needed and there was a high attention to detail when it came to design and aesthetics. Superb breakfast with fresh homemade bread and locally sourced produce. We would definitely stay here again and would happily recommend this hotel to others. A seaside gem and perfectly located for the Triennial.

The staff member who greeted us couldn't have been more hospitable and helpful, even booking us a restaurant to meet our requirements for the evening. The bed was extremely comfortable, allowing a very restful and comfortable nights sleep. The cleanliness of the room could not be faulted, and we had a very nice bathroom. Breakfast offered a good choice, We liked the drinks station and the homemade cakes on offer at no charge, this was a nice touch. The cooked breakfast was a bit of a let down, the bacon was undercooked to our taste, so possibly it would be nice if staff asked guests how they would require it to be cooked. Renovations were under way when we arrived, forewarning would have been nice.

An excellent and informal setting, very comfortable rooms, a superb breakfast, the free bat was veery welcome and gratefully received, the bed was fantastically comfortable and the price was also reasonable. An excellent base for a conference in Folkestone that I will definitely be recommending to colleagues (who regularly have to travel to Folkestone for events)

From the moment we booked not only were the staff very efficient but so friendly and welcoming - and genuinely so! The room was beautiful, the breakfast superb and the free glass of wine, beer and cake an unusual extra that encouraged guests to sit a while in the lounge and meet. Bearing in mind it rained the whole time we were there (Not Relish fault!!) we still had a lovely stay. Would definately use it again. Maybe the position, a bit of a walk to the sea front - but saying that it if was on the seafront I would expect to pay double!!

We loved the free home-made cake and wine / coffee / water etc. The living room was very comfortable and the choice of magazines good. The cooked breakfasts were huge but very tasty and the homemade bread delicious.

What not to like ? Everything suited us down to the ground. I think we'd be termed "discerning" and, on so many occasions, we get disappointed at what's promised but not delivered. At The Relish we got everything we'd hoped for in terms of service and quality of facilities and food. We'd highly recommend The Relish and will most certainly be back ourselves.

We stayed at the Relish for one night. Their stated check-in time is 4pm which seems rather late, but after corresponding with them we were able to check in at 2pm which was fair enough given check-out is 12pm and they need time to prepare the room. The staff were all very friendly, attentive and accommodating. On arrival we were given a tour of the facilities and my parents who were with us were offered a tea of coffee which was nice. The facilities are great and the hotel is spotless and very contemporary. My parents were staying at the Bursten which was very tired and old fashioned. We were given free access to a large range of teas and coffees and a seemingly limitless supply of fresh cake. There was also free wine and beer available, but we didn't take advantage of this. The room was lovely. We were in the 'cliff' room at the top. It was clean and contemporary. Nice big TV, powerful shower, tea and coffee making. The bed was two singles joined together and the pillows were a bit soft for our liking, but that is personal preference. The fried breakfast that I had was very nice. Quality ingredients. Apart from that the choice was homemade bread or cereal and fruit. Perhaps some croissants or pastries would have been nice, and the in the morning all the cake had gone which was a shame. Overall we really enjoyed our stay. The room was quiet, the staff were great and I highly recommend the Relish. I have a feeling it is the best hotel in Folkestone and stands up well against any hotel.

It was a friendly relaxed environment with excellent facilities. The staff were helpful and professional. My room had a pleasant view of Augusta Gardens and it was nice to be within walking distance of the sea and some good restaurants. Breakfast set me up for the day and the home- made cake made for an enjoyable snack in the evening. The shower was great and the bed was comfortable. I would have liked a little more tea, milk and sugar in my room. I know that I had the option of going down to the kitchen but it was quite a long way down from the Box Room. I suppose for older people in poor health, the lack of a lift to the higher floors may be a disadvantage although the exercise was good for me.
