Individuality, attention to detail, good quality, great food. Loved the kitchen provisions available for residents - the glass of wine when I arrived was very welcome! Fantastic breakfast. Appreciated the upgrade.

The wi-fi was not functioning and the bedrooms were small.

A nice place to be. Comfortable, Good service. Friendly staff. Well decorated. Very good breakfast. 24 hour complimentary cake and tea/fresh coffee in reception + complimentary glass of wine in the evening.

No off street parking (though street parking adjacent to the hotel was always achieved).

Attractive late victorian building just one block back from the famous Leas clifftop promenade area of Folkestone. Large room at the top (4th floor- no lift) - well furnished with modern en suite shower. Nice view of Augusta Gardens behind the hotel. Extra large double bed with good mattress. Very comfortable. Usual breakfast options - very good.

Parking on street in front of the hotel might be an issue in busier times.

One night stay in the relish, room was exceptionally clean and very up-to-date/ modern. Food was very good and the staff were welcoming and friendly.

What a wonderful find! Lovely stylish building, beautifully decorated in great taste. Very friendly greeting, nothing was too much trouble. I can't remember being invited to help myself to beer, wine or a sift drink to enjoy in front of the open fire in the lounge - lovely. My room was comfortable, very tasteful and everything worked the way it was meant to. Breakfast was superb too, really, I cannot find a fault with The Relish, I'll certainly look to stay there whenever I need to be anywhere in the area.

Finding a decent restaurant on a Sunday night in Folkestone is quite a challenge...

Good staff and handy location

The Relish was very clean, and the staff very friendly.

Did not like the location, very little to do locally, area itself very shabby.

I really enjoyed my stay at The Relish, it was very comfortable and relaxing and felt like home from home. Breakfast was delicious - I'm rather partial to a smoked salmon breakfast and this was provided! Very friendly host gave me a tour of the hotel and advice on jogging routes. There was also a glass of red or white wine, use of a proper coffee machine and choice of some delicious cakes - all included in the price. Very impressed and will be recommending to my colleagues and friends. Thanks Relish!

WE loved the warm welcome, excellent breakfast, very comfortable bed and warm room, lovely shower, soft towels and toiletries. Excellent range of breakfasts available, after hours complementary area which was well stocked with soft drinks, wine, beer and water and home made cakes.

Going home!

The staff are very helpful and as I was there to run a half marathon and breakfast was too late for me, food was left in the fridge so a real nice touch.

Just a little expensive for the time of year, parking was not easy

Just a great Hotel, The owners have done a fantastic job of updating a beautiful seaside hotel and making it contemporary without losing the charm from the period building. However what makes it special is the attention to detail, the freshley made cakes and wine or beer which are complimentary makes you feel special and wanted ad for a cost not a million miles away from the transit camp travel hotels that I often stay in for en route stop overs. Would recommend wholeheartedly, these sort of hoteliers should be supported
