Nice and pleasant hotel in a great central location

Very nice facilities for breakfast, not only the room but also the the breakfast was what one would expect of a perfect English Breakfast. The hotel was really crowded when we stayed there, but the staff was friendly, helpful and efficient.

The room was so small that we had no place to put our suitcases anywhere let alone the cloths, two coathangers and that was it. The room could also do with a renovation, it was really old fashioned. The bathroom was so small that you could hardly move between the bathtub and the wall ( I have size 12..)

The hotel has a comfortable wecoming atmosphere retaining a personal character not an impersonal large Hotel antiseptic environment.

Minor points made in the Hotel survey Poor lighting in the bathroom causes shadows at the bathroom mirror. Absence of non slip mat in the bath could cause accident when showering. Awkward shower controls.Evidence of glasses left outside rooms slow to be cleared away.

The location is superb - our main reason for choosing. Close to West End and Covent Garden & 2 min walk from Picadilly Line tube station. But this is also a very high quality hotel, definitely not in the budget cetagory. Restaurant was excellent!

location, most of their staff were frindly.

first day they gave me very bad and dirty room looking to very dirty view, I asked them to change it to park view, outlets not matching my mobile adaptor and they are not providing any, concierge sell it to guests 5 GBP I bought it from the book shop beside the hotel 4GBP, bathroom door not closed properly I have to push it up to close it, price was too high in my opinion.

the buffet breakfast was very good. The bar was a great place to relax over a bottle of wine with lots of leather chairs and chesterfields.

Huge air conditioning units were right outside our bedroom window and the noise was like a lorry ticking over all night. I was totally exhausted after our two-night stay and couldn't wait to get back to the peace and quiet of my own bedroom. Why aren't the windows double glazed?

The atmosphere is lovely because of the decor, particularly in the bar and dining room, very luxurious. The staff are friendly and helpful ( except for one who was a bit snooty ! ). The location is good too.

The standard of the room didn't really match the quality of the rest of the hotel although the bathrooom was lovely. The room was very cramped and the double bed squashed against the wall. It was also very dark, even with the lights on.

The consierge was very helpful, front of house friendly and efficient getting us booked in - always a pet hate of mine and the bar staff were courteous and professional.

£20 for a burger!

The staff were excellent and wery helpful but the overall experience was a bit disappointing.

The standard of the room was less than 4 star. Also the hotel did not take any notice of the fact that I had informed thtem I would be travelling with a 10 year old child and then charged us $40 extra to accommodate him. Considering I had booked 4 months prior I would like to have been informed of this charge before checking in.

Nice staff good location

The beds on floor 7 are like camp beds, not what you expect for £113 per night!

The location couldn't really be any better - within 5 minutes walking distance of Holborn, Covent Garden and Euston. Staff were absolutely charming and the breakfast was fantastic.

The bathroom was extremely small. The frosted glass door into the bathroom hadn't been cleaned and had some "interesting" facial and hand prints on it, presumably left by the former occupant.

The hotel has an ideal location for shopping, museums, and the underground station, without it being in the overcrowded centre of London.

Our bedroom television had a distinct lack of channels which was disappointing given the abundance of digital channels which are now readily available.
