The Hotel Russell

Hotellille oli helppo yhteys Heathtrow'n lentokentältä. Julkisivu oli kaunis kukkaistutuksineen ja viktoriaanisine fasaadeineen. Sisääntuloaula oli huikaiseva ja henkilökunta ystävällistä. Erityisesti leppoisa ja lämminhenkinen concierge jäi mieleen. Olen historian opettaja ja sulauduin vanhan ajan henkeen nautinnolla.

Olin tilannut huoneen erillisvuoteilla, mutta viestiä ei huomioitu. Virkailija ehdotti huoneen vaihtoa. Maksoimme 20 puntaa/ yö ylimääräistä superiorhuoneesta. Tosin huone oli korkealla, rauhallinen ja pedit erilliset ja todella leveät. Ei jäänyt traumaa :-)

SDafety oli rikki, eikä sitä korjattu/vaihdettu valituksesta huolimatta

perinteinen, englantilainen, kaunis sijainti puiston varrella

huoneessa haisi home ja katon reunassa vesivalumia

Siisti, tilava huone. Ystävällinen henkilökunta. Ylitti odotukset Lontoon hotellien osalta.

Suihkun vesi oli välillä kiehuvaa ilman säätömahdollisuutta ;-))

Room, restaurant and general service was fine.

Check-in took a long time, as there were two on the desk and one was diverted by a long query. Check-out was pretty long at one point, suggesting some form of more flexible staffing might be wise.

basic facilities/room for what is an expensive 4 star hotel, slow check in, check in staff/concierge need to be more welcoming

Excellent location in Bloomsbury on beautiful Russell Sq and a Tube station on your doorstep. Very comfortable well appointed hotel with a buzzy bar and good atmosphere.

Breakfast was very standard hotel fare.

The consierge was very helpful, front of house friendly and efficient getting us booked in - always a pet hate of mine and the bar staff were courteous and professional.

£20 for a burger!

The staff were excellent and wery helpful but the overall experience was a bit disappointing.

The standard of the room was less than 4 star. Also the hotel did not take any notice of the fact that I had informed thtem I would be travelling with a 10 year old child and then charged us $40 extra to accommodate him. Considering I had booked 4 months prior I would like to have been informed of this charge before checking in.

Nice staff good location

The beds on floor 7 are like camp beds, not what you expect for £113 per night!

The location couldn't really be any better - within 5 minutes walking distance of Holborn, Covent Garden and Euston. Staff were absolutely charming and the breakfast was fantastic.

The bathroom was extremely small. The frosted glass door into the bathroom hadn't been cleaned and had some "interesting" facial and hand prints on it, presumably left by the former occupant.

The hotel has an ideal location for shopping, museums, and the underground station, without it being in the overcrowded centre of London.

Our bedroom television had a distinct lack of channels which was disappointing given the abundance of digital channels which are now readily available.
