I only found one socket which was for the table lamp. I needed to recharge a few things
Sense of security. Discrete staff.Pleasant smell. Good bed linen. Comfortable room. Quiet, Helpful doormen.
Food was very low standard
Great room up on the 7th floor. Great service especially from the awesome receptionist called Miles! Not only was he friendly and approachable, but also gave excellent suggestions of places to eat and go around the area.
The room was noisy in the morning as the windows are not soundproof and there is a lot of traffic around the hotel. Some noise came from the corridor as well, so it was not possible to sleep and rest after 7am; the bathrooms need an upgrade.
The kindness of the staff was 5 stars; the architecture of the historical building is impressive and the location was excellent. Although the (single) room was not very big, it was well equiped and the furniture and decoration was modern and nice.
Not a bad experience but very limited closet space and small room.
Convenient location to underground Picadilly line .
Bar staff kept trying to clear our glasses away before we'd finished our drinks!!
Comfy, clean, ideal tourist location
For paying over £200 for one night the fixtures and fittings were tired, worn down or missing, so a little disappointed with that.
Location was brilliant and the room was a great size!
Comfortable bed and near tube station
I love the bed，I feel so comfortable！I love the bathroom too！The room is really big、clear and nice. Also the staffs are really nice！！
Room was just slightly tired (threadbare carpet in places).
Location was great. Staff were really friendly.
comfortable, quiet room; friendly, helpful staff; excellent location near attractive Russell Square and British Museum; Good transport links.
No bedside lamp
rooms are badly in need of a refurbishment, a coat of paint would help.
lovely character building. central location.
Great location, close to tube. British museum. We quite easily walked to Covent Garden. Large bedroom overlooking garden square. Very comfy night's sleep.
The shower instructions were hidden high up behind the shower screen. We spent a long time trying to get it to work and ended up calling for maintenance - only to find you had to turn the cold tap on first before fiddling with the dials. Instructions should be more visible.
Staff friendly and helpful - especially reception staff. We liked George the dragon too!
Double bed is just a double I expected larger it was otherwise OK
Location is good, staff are friendly and pleasant
Great bed, space in the room, Tea & Coffee facilities
The marble staircase - a wonder to behold. Room - smal, but perfectly formed.
room quite small for the price, the tiles appeared dated. small bathroom
staff friendly And able to open a window which is becoming rare nowadays
We had a 6 month baby with us. Daily cost of a cot was exorbitant particularly the fact that it was only a travel cot which would have been provided. There was no access for wheel chair or pram although concierge staff very helpful in lifting pram up and down front steps
Polite and extremely helpful staff. Excellent location for shops transport and visitor attractions e.g. Museums etc
No bad points! :)
Absolutely wonderful location, beautiful, historic hotel, helpful staff and overall brilliant service and value for money.
Bathroom rather small, shower head with incrustations, bathroom walls in need of restauration, windows dirty and in urgent need of painting
Very competent, efficient and friendly personnel (door, reception, breakfast room) Excellent location Very good beds
Room (559) needed an update; not "contemporary" as described on website, old fashioned furnishings, wardrobe door couldn't close. Small bathroom; had to crouch under shower (and I'm no giant!) Breakfast poor value-for-money. Better to go out to good cafes down Southampton Row.
Had to queue for breakfast quite a long time and when we did get sat down no one came and sorted us out with tea/coffee until we had almost finished our breakfast.w
Large comfortable room and great location
