The staff was very friendly and helpfull,we were offered tea and coffee when we were sitting in the lounge,Internet facilities excellent!!Breakfast was very good, and fresh. We had a room on the top-floor,which had a tiny bathroom, not made for tall people!!!The room was at the streetside,so much traffic passing through. |

One of the reasons I booked this hotel was for the free wifi. Unfortunately the wifi was not working while we were there and my partner could not do the work that he needed to do. |

We had an excellent stay at Brooks Guesthouse, the service, staff and helpfulness were excellent. The only comment we would make is that it should be made clear as to the position of rooms in the hotel when booking. We had booked a standard double room, and on arrival were told we had been upgraded to a bedroom in the attic with t fall ceilings hardly adequate for myself being over 6ft tall. To ourselves this seemed like any normal room nothing special. Therefore we would consider it absolutely essential that it is made clear as to the position of rooms so the customer can decide as to whether to chose another or not to book. Your comments would be grateful here. For your info the next week we stayed in the Brightonwave in Brighton (see comments on that booking) and were placed in the basement) hardly ideal accomodation. |

Our room was tiny, the beds of poor quality, the bathroom width about one meter only, the staircase steep and small therefore quite dangerous. The breakfast room was dark and dirty with lousy food. It was our worst experience during a two weeks trip in Southern England. The additional words in the name of that place "Four Star Highly Commended" is very tricky! When we saw that place we wanted to cancel our reservation. This was refused and we have been told that our account was already debited. |

Location was quiet. Although the single room was small, it was comfortable and well appointed. The leather club chair was wonderful and the bathroom was excellent. The breakfast room was beautifully set. The bed was a little springy and uncomfortable but this did not detract from the experience. |

The entire hotel was very tastefully decorated and felt like someone's stylish home. The room was clean, comfortable, and furnished with quirky, one-of-a-kind pieces of furniture. The breakfast was cooked-to-order. The hotel staff were also friendly and helpful. The hotel has no elevators, which can be a problem if guests are carrying a lot of luggage and staying on the top floors. |

The staff were lovely especially the guy on reception when we arrived. The decor of the hotel is of a very high standard and has a great mix of traditional and modern. The location is ideal. I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to stay in bath. Other guests were very noisy in the early hours of the morning. But I do not hold the guest house responsible for that. |

The decor was well thought out, with a bit of style for a budget hotel. The reason the hotel doesn't get excellent reviews from me, is that for two days I could only get cold showers. I never discovered the magic button. And as I have stayed in many hotels around the world, both budget and posh, such as St Regis and Sofitel; I couldn't understand why it needed to be complicated. |

Friendly staff, cheaper offer of parking permit rather than parking in car park at higher costs. Good value breakfasts. Honesty bar available and seems to work well. Shower tricky to workout and difficult if you did not want to wash your hair and facilities to dry and straighten your hair were not overly suitable in the room. |

Polite and helpful staff. Good location. Nice and reasonably priced breakfast. Heating was lovely on the cold nights. Laptop available for free internet access. Sink next to the bedroom rather than in the bathroom wasn't ideal. Car parking was £8 a day in public car park to the rear of the building. |
