car parking a bit tight
Ok for the price.
We thought the dining room was very basic not a comfortable environment - chairs and tables very basic, a room you don't want to relax in, just eat and get out.
Good service pleasant staff room a little small but comfortable
Bathroom. Cramped and shower head set too low. Had to stoop to wash hair. Water stains on suspended ceiling panels. Restaurant: Breakfast excellent but evening meal bland and tasteless. WiFi very slow.
good location, nice room size and quiet.
bed not very comfortable, pillows very uncomfortable
Peaceful and comfortable stay
The location of the hotel in a lovely little village was lovely didn't see much of the village as we were at the venue for a party though
The cleanliness of the room was very poor, hairs all over on the bath, bits on the floors like not been hoovered, shower slow needs updating! With a revamp could be a lovely place however I wouldn't say anything has changed in 10 years or so decor wise!
2 min walk to new millerdam
Tired rooms and hotel overall could do with a facelift desperately
comfy bed nice staff clean room good value
Location good. A few pubs within easy walking distance some serving food. Would have like to have walked around the lake but the great British weather put paid to that idea. Rooms comfortable enough but the hotel seems a bit dingy. Reception staff helpful
Apart from the reception area the hotel is a bit dark and depressing. Breakfast was buffet style and did not include all of the items stated on the menu. It was also lukewarm. My parner had a pot of tea which was like dishwater. If we ever stay here again I will book room only and eat breakfast elsewhere.
The bed was reallt compfy. Staff very polite and in great location.
Very helpful staff Comfort Quiet back bedroom Quality of breakfast
The hotel is very nice but the rooms are standard to some rooms I've stopped in before but would defo come stay again
The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast on offer was very good
The were limited parking spaces and I struggled to find a spare space when I arrived.
Staff were excellent, friendly and very helpful. It is a lovely location and breakfast was very good value for money.
I found the room to be 'stuffy' - the window didn't let in enough fresh air and there was no ability to control the temperature in the room other than the window which meant that I didn't sleep as well as I would have liked to.
The location is great nice village, plenty of parking spaces, easy fast booking in. Nice bedroom on the rear first floor corner, free wifi nice foyer and bar area, good breakfast, easy checking out.
The main road can be busy, the bedroom got very hot during the night even with windows open. The taxi company the hotel recommend very expensive and collected us 20 mins late.
Staff very attentive hotel very clean. Limited but satisfactory menu.
Dining room rather claustrophobic having no windows.
We asked for a quiet room at the back and that's what we got. Our room was comfortable and quite large with a good size desk, plenty of power points, and good wi fi. The bathroom was a good size with a good shower. Decent breakfast with a good choice and the bar prices were reasonable. They obviously do a lot of conference/business trade and they are very well set up for that, but it's a good location for a short break too. Helpful staff and seems well run. Would definitely use again.
The bed was a bit hard.
Helpful staff. Apologetic about being over booked. Tried to help by reserving alternative accommodation in a 'better' hotel. I hope the next time I book I actually get to stay!
The 'better' hotel was impossible to find. Drove past it three times... City centre location. Not the quiet retreat wanted. Clientele looked a little dubious. Would not have felt comfortable staying there so ended up booking a third hotel, which was in a lovely spot. Unfortunately the finding of alternative accommodation took up a lot of valuable time on what was essentially a one night break....
Friendly staff Free WiFi in rooms Good facilities
Slow check in, staff seemed inefficient
friendly staff and a hearty breakfast
Staff very polite and helpfull.
Found the hotel rooms to be very dated and that's the place that needs to be eye catching as that's where your staying. Rest of the hotel is up to date but the rooms need to be updated to the current era. Also found the rooms to be extremely warm.
Nice walk nearby
Friendly staff. Quiet, nice location with restauration facilities nearby. Nice rooms
