The bed was a little uncomfortable

Clean and decor was good. Location was good for the purpose of our visit. Good breakfast.

At the time of booking we were not informed that there was a planned wedding reception / night time event. The noise as the room was above the bar kept us awake until 1.30am when the disco ended. This was then followed by an hour of drunken, selfish adult guests shouting up and down the corridor until 2.30am. Despite cctv in reception, staff did not address this. The lifts are also very noisy as is the central heating. Breakfast time was an experience with several children running around shouting and screaming without parental control and staff did not address this. Receptionist was dealing with several issues at the point of checking out before finishing the check out task with us. Had we been aware of the wedding on booking we would not have used this hotel. Shower head in the en suite is of no use if you are over about 5ft 6inch as it is not high enough on the wall and is fixed!! Would only recommend if the hotel informed guests on booking whether they have a planned function

Close proximity to Yorkshire Sculpture Park, pleasant, unobtrusive service, relaxed atmosphere, really good breakfast, lots of hot water for baths and showers, really comfortable beds

Attended a wedding reception

Good location,nice and quiet and good entertainment. Would definatley stay there again.

Spacious room, lovely staff - really helpful

You supplied a beautiful room for my son and his bride on their wedding night, I loved their breakfast I paid an extra cost for tray service but it was worth it for their special weekend.

Good location for Wakefield and surrounding district. Quiet, clean and comfortable bedrooms. Plenty of car parking. Staff polite, friendly and helpful.
