Situated in 150 acres of wooded parkland, this splendid hotel combines Elizabethan and Victorian styles. It has an 18-hole golf course on site, an indoor swimming pool and a luxurious spa.

Conveniently located just 5 minutes' walk from Norwich Train Station, Stracey Hotel provides a contemporary base from which to explore the lively Norwich city centre.
Score from 285 reviews Very good
Close to 'the action' and on the river. Staff very helpful and efficient.
Facilities a bit tired.
Great location and advantageous to have room with balcony and river views. Good choice of cooked breakfast.
Room was very warm and no air con just a small fan. Bath had a little mould requiring attention and needed upgrading with mixer taps although otherwise good. Breakfast coffee should have been hotter.
The hotel was right on the waterfront.
Hotel is overpriced
River side location
Rooms are very basic
Very pleased with this holiday, food was good, staff was kind would have gone out of there way if they could to have helped us.
The only I wished you had was a lift as I am semi disabled,I found getting up and down the stairs very painfull, this would be the only thing that would put me of coming to your hotel again.
We had a room with a balcony overlooking the river which made for a memorable stay.
The room, as was the hotel, was in need of an upgrade but because of its location you felt that they didn't need to bother.
The location of the hotel is great. The staff were friendly and welcoming.
The price of the room was very high considering the standard of decor and general feel of the place. It is in serious need of an update.
Lovely location staff very friendly nothing was too much trouble
breakfast brought to the table be we had finished our cereal so went cold
Location was perfect for the purpose of our visit Breakfast was excellent
Décor is a bit tired & dated. Could do with a bit of modernisation. No lift!, & 2 in our party were over 80 years of age
Always ordering everything through the bar
Friendly members of staff that were on hand to help when required. Location is fantastic, great views from the bar.
The location was lovely .. The staff were helpful.. The food was yummy and the room was cosy
The room was very hot so had to have 2 fans, the window and the day open all night
The food & the location
The extra cost of having a balcony which we could not use because the floor was sticky with a tar like substance & the whole place could do with a makeover. Did not meet our expectations.
Hotel tired and in need of updating. Bath panel appalling and held together with masking tape! Poor value for price charged.
Easy to pick up a day boat or hire a bike. Good selection of local beers and nice sun terrace
Tired decor, very hot rooms with only a fan. More suitable for older couples. Very little info available for activities nearby.
The hotel was of poor quality
Staff very friendly and extremely helpful, excellent view from room very clean and comfortable all requests were dealt with promptly and professionally would definitely revisit and more than happy to recommend. This hotel should most certainly have a higher star rating
No complaints all good
Hotel Staff were friendly and dealt with our little complaint in a professional and amazing manner. Hotel has a superb setting overlooking the river and the river is full of swans, geese and the heron frequently lands nearby. Perfect few days away for us and the balcony room was perfect with the heat. From the bar staff even to the chefs that we spoke to in the evening had great customer relations skills and made our honeymoon nights very memorable. We loved the fact it was quiet at the hotel in the evenings as it made it so much more romantic for us. Thank you!!
Nothing not to like, just suggest you book for your evening meal as if they are quiet they close the restaurant before the hours stated. Although this happened to us we were suggested a restaurant nearby and the staff were extremely helpful.
the balcony very good and location good breakfast was good
evening meal was poor
The general state of the Hotel. It's very, very tired and needs some serious amount of money spent on it. Not good value for money at all. Have submitted a formal complaint in regard to this.
Location perfect. We got married on 17th July in nth Walsham, and went to Wroxham Hotel on the 18th. Room with a balcony well worth extra.
no sunshade on balcony. Bit of old carpet on balcony.
Staff were welcoming and friendly. Bed linen was clean. Food was nice.
The hotel was very dingy. It smelled stale, the downstairs carpets were grubby, the covered veranda that overlooked the river had a floor covering that was stained and filthy. Our rooms had huge windows overlooking a noisy car park, and post office depot, with no privacy, like a net curtain. It was absolutely stifling in the room, but the window had to be closed as a Highways lorry with flashing lights, and engine roaring, and pumping out fumes, was being refuelled, or pumped out in the car park between 10.30pm and midnight. There was a flat roof outside the windows, displaying cigarette butts and old bits of piping. Really unpleasant. The poor staff were rushed off their feet, and our meal took a long time to arrive. The whole hotel seemed to be a relic of the 1960's, and the decor dated from the 1970's, with Artex ceilings and dingy brown curtains and carpets, and brown MDF tables. Such a shame, as the hotel has a wonderful river front position. A total makeover is needed, then perhaps the shocking £75 a night we were charged would be justified.
Food was good and clean Comfortable stay Staff very good and helpfull
Bathroom needs updating bad lighting in bathroom no towel rail to put towels on Bathroom door would not close
We were in the bridge room and it was lovely. Huge bed and comfortable. Lovely view over river.
The breakfast wasn't the best and the staff started to clear away before the breakfast time had finished
Great location Lovely staff
