Staff very helpfull
Place looks a bit rundown, furniture in bar is old and dirty, hotel would be a gold mine in the right hands, needs updating, wont be going back.
Everything, staff were amazing couldn't do enough for you, room and settings beautiful
View was great . Meal was good . Room was nice and clean.
reception area was shabby .
heating in room to hot ,no control of temperature
Balcony room overlooking the river well worth a visit
Had a meal in the hotel restaurant starter and main course was excellent the dessert was in the menu as fruit crumble we got something more like fruit pie!
We loved the room location, the room was warm.
Didnt like that the lady on the desk didnt ask our name she just said youre 10 mins early, then carried on her conversation with a colleague, bannisters had been polished very dangerous, room decor very poor but clean.noise from the kitchen vent meant when you opened balcony door the noise was awful.very expensive, breakfast cold and poor quality.
Nice place and location worth a visit
Having to lock room door from inside when leaving room should be told this when checking in at hotel
Staff very friendly, great location bar area bedrooms ect needs updating looking very tired , stayed here about five years ago and nothing much has changed,if these things where adressed we would be revisiting a lot more
Furniture very tired looking the inside of the hotel though clean was needing some TLC ,I then think people would be wanting to return like we would without having to look anywhere else .with such a location you would then have top notch hotel!
After an upgrade we had a room overlooking the river which was very comfortable. The staff were excellent, very friendly, attentive and made us feel valued as customers. The cooked breakfast was excellent and the evening meals equally so. A very enjoyable two night stay.
The shower in our room was quite a disappointment. A pump on the system would be an improvement.
A quiet location with river views. Pleasant room and a good breakfast.
Décor looked a bit tired. Peeling ceiling paper in our room and grubby carpet on the stairs. We had a balcony room, but the balcony "fence" prevents you watching the view while seated.
Location ie wroxham
Hotel looking very tired dirty carpets chipped units locking on doors requires you to slam doors hence doors banging till the early hours low water pressure so shower didn't work TV wouldn't switch off with remote
our room over looked the river so the views were smashing , the only let down with the room was the over the bath shower but room was clean hotel itself needs a little updating.
no rose wine what a let down
The balcony and view - watching the world go by.
Staff very helpful & friendly. Also had room with balcony which was good looking out over the river. Food was good.
Thought it just needed a bit more updating in the bathroom, where to put toiletries & hang stuff. Plus in the bar area with the soafers.
BALCONY AND VIEWS
ABSENCE OF LIFT AND LACK OF LIGHTING IN ARCHWAY FROM CAR PARK TO RECEPTION.
Friendliness and helpfulness of staff
Noise next to our room of a boiler or air on system a bit noisy
The position, the view, the helpful staff and the good weather
There was a query on the bill which was satisfactory setteled. Small towels
Close to center. Quiet. River view in restaurant. Politeness of staff. Good breakfast. Overall pleasant stay.
Location was excellent with balcony overlooking river. Room in sun most of day. Was able to watch world go by, fishermen and river craft.
As we were there for October there was limited menu for evening meal, not the choices as advertised at front of hotel. We had to go around the corner for something to eat.
location good, staff very helpful, very clean room with tea/coffee making facilities. Choice of continental or full english breakfast.
Very small bathroom, been woken up at 6.15am by dust cart and other noise outside in car park. No really disable friendly as had to climb some steep stairs to get to room.
The outlook from the room was lovely. Breakfast was very nice. It was in a central location and everything we wanted to do was within easy reach.
Evening meals were very hit and miss. The fish pie was a disgrace and was no way a fish pie. The hotel was a little bit tired and could do with a make over.
The hotel itself was very tired, it could do with an uplift especially the rooms and the shower was very poor.
Overpriced and badly cooked food. Mouldy bath seals Cobwebs in the room Tired old hotel in need of a lick of pain at the very least.
