The position - right on the coast with a fantastic view! The food - excelent

There was nothing not to like.

- The owner and his staff were very friendly. The food and cream tea were absolut faboulus. A real pleasure. From our junior suit we had an incredible view over the sea and the lighthouse. The hotel has a very charming british style when it comes to furnisher and equipment.

The bathroom was (compared to the suit) small, but had a bathtub and everything was very clean.

The views from the hotel are fantastic. The food was excellent and all the staff and owners are so friendly and helpfull very nice coastal walks in all very relaxing mini break.

The location, ambience and food were excellent. We stayed at the Housel Bay Hotel approximately 6 years ago and the standards have been maintained. Would definitely go again.

There was nothing to dislike.

My wife and I greatly appreciated the friendly, helpful attitude of all the staff members. We are from California, and all of our "tourist" questions were answered quickly and efficiently. Also, in the evening there is a great "meet at the pub" atmosphere, so it was fun to chat with the locals and others who were also traveling.

The cooked breakfast was very poor,really overcooked bacon and scrambled eggs and mushrooms so overcooked that they were just little black dots on the plate. The Barman was chewing gum all evening.

The relaxing atmosphere, the stunning location the incredible food were simply amazing.

Very friendly staff,excellent service and food,clean and comfortable room,excellent facillities.

A perfect place to relax and unwind. The views are amazing. The food is great and the staff friendly and helpful. We will return.

Convenient for local beauty spots. whilst being just far enogh away from main tourist area. breath taking views from the Hotel lounge and dining room

Excellent location right next to coast path, Lizard lighthouse visible from windows, had sea view - pricey but worth it. Evening meals excellent quality, taste and appearance.

No table lamps, two lamps each side of bed wired into one 1950's style 5 amp roundpin plug. Hot water and heating off when we aprrived - fixed on day two - manager very apologetic, and it did not spoil our stay. But thay do need to upgrade electrics.

Location is absolutely fantastic - with cliffs and rocks - and the sea view.. Food is good - except for English breakfast.. Peace and tranquillity, very much suitable for honeymoon & romantic breaks.. Ideal for hiking and enjoying nature..

There is no Vodafon coverage - so Mobile phones on Vodafon don't work.. WiFi didn't work for 3 days out of 5.. Every day we needed to drive somewhere - to get in touch with friends/relatives/etc..Really NOT convenient.. Completely NOT suitable for teenagers who can't live without Internet - and for those who have to work remotely via Internet/phones.. Something wrong with water pipes - as wasted water seems to go through your room from other rooms, making unpleasant sounds (Room no.3)..

Wunderbare Lage direkt am Küstenwanderweg und über der Bucht, sehr schöner Blick aus dem Zimmer und vom Restaurant.

Unengagiertes Personal, naher Leuchtturm leuchtet sehr hell ins Zimmer, winziges Zimmer, Dielung mit Ritzen durch die Pfundstücke passen

Ganz klar - die Lage ist sensationell! Außerdem hat uns das Dinner sehr gut gefallen - absolut sein Geld wert! Wir hatten eine Junior Suite und können nur jedem empfehlen, die paar Pfund draufzulegen - diese Zimmer sind erheblich komfortabler und größer, und sie haben einen ganz wunderbaren Blick. Tolles King-Size-Bett! Wir mochten vor allem diesen etwas morbiden Cornwall-Charme. Wir finden zwar, dass mal renoviert werden müsste, aber auf keinen Fall sollte ein modernes Hotel daraus werden! Der viktorianische Charme ist unbezahlbar!

Die Resopaltische im Frühstücksraum könnten wirklich mal durch schönere, hochwertigere ersetzt werden. Das Bad ist zwar funktionsfähig, aber nicht sehr "frisch". Die "normalen" Zimmer, die wir auch sehen durften, sind winzig. Eigentlich sollte man mal durchrenovieren und zwei Zimmer zusammenlegen zu einem.

Zu teuer, das Hotel ist ziemlich in die Jahre gekommen, unebener Holzfußboden, der mit Teppich bedeckt ist. Toilettenspülung sehr trickreich, im ersten Zimmer hatte wir in der Dusche kein warmes Wasser, am Ankunftstag (Sonntag) wurde uns im Restaurant nur ein teueres Menü angeboten und keine Möglichkeit à la carte zu speisen. etwas hochnäsiges Personal.

The hosts/owners are ,and always have been across 15 years,exceptionally warm and welcoming, attending to every need and being hugely caring.This stands out as a feature, hardly known in any other hotel we have been in Europe and further afield.Allied to the excellent food,staff interaction ,stunning views and the exceptional environment the stay was a special tonic that we sought for us both after a long period of adversity.
