Allocation of room which was very close to a noisy evening event having been told at check in we were away from this area

Mostly the staff and the surroundings of the hotel. The way it is put together was enjoyable in it self.

room 311 slightly annoying noise from external boiler? had asked for a quiet room, there were plenty unfilled! Prices becoming too expensive.

Nice to get a complimentary upgrade upon arrival. Staff very friendly. Bar food was OK albeit prices were a bit on the high side Good choice for breakfast

Leisure facilities in adjacent "conservatory" needs updating. Was a cold walk through the gym from out of the pool.

No heating or hot water for a shower, on my arrival in the evening or the following morning despite complaints to the front desk we were moved to another room so that my wife and myself could shower in the morning !

The food in the bar was very nice

The rooms suffer from the curse of the flashing smoke detector, kept waking me up.

I used to live in Basingstoke but have never stayed at this hotel before, it is situated in a quiet but excellent location, the staff are very attentive and the hotel is very clean and modern with first class facilities, my room was very spacious and clean with a nice ensuite bathroom, free wi-fi and the room service was very prompt. I would definately stay at this hotel again. Highly recommended.

Pleasent and helpful staff, ideally located near major roads but very quiet and calm. Not overheated !!

Breakfasts were badky cooked. Information from staff differed from different members.

For us it was location as only10min drive,also it was our first time at the hotel and we thought it was superb.

I got a good 2-night deal and doubled it up to 4-nights (shame no late bookings for this week). A very pleasant hotel (compared to other previously) and having a gym/pool for those on business staying in hotels is excellent. The restaurant food was also of a high standard.

Breakfast ... some not cooked fresh, so a bit dry etc.

Around room 208 there was a terrible noise several times during the night. Um das Zimmer 208 gab es mehrere Male pro Nacht extrem laute geräusche.

Was booked into a room that Staff Knew had no Hot water available had to repack and move rooms at 22:30 WHY

t reception I asked to stay a 2nd night, not a problem but it is more money than tonight. We had the "best" price for the night £89. We would have stayed in the same room, negating changes to bedding & towells. They were quite content to loose my business, now & for the future over a few pounds and would have paid the same price. I checked their website for the following night,23/8/12,& they had prices from £65 with breakfast. How does a business that needs people be so, who cares about the customer. M G Ryan

The staff were lovely, all very warm , helpful and friendly.

We noticed when we got into bed on our return to the hotel , the bedding had a smell of cigarettes !! this was not noticeable when we were getting ready to go out only when the bedding was pulled back... it was a bit yick ... especially as we had a non smoking room !

Pleasant and clean. Staff very helpful. The evening meal was too slow.

Shower did not work. Breakfast I think was cooked the day before !! Fired egg was hard,bacon like leather and sausage well done to say the least. Broken window fixture. Long way from from nearest town centre with exhorbitant taxi fares. How this ranks as a 4 star hotel is a puzzle maybe 2 max.

Good value for money and friendly
