Welcoming to the dog we took with us. Bottled water and fruit provided in the room. The burglar alarm went off twice between 05.00 and 06.00. We only found out about it by chance so I dont think all guests had been told at what time it would be unset.

The hotel was dog friendly. Our dog Bob was most welcome. The staff were flexible to our needs as dog owners. It was a central location and easy to reach the family we were visiting. There was a good car park behind the hotel. The room was a little cold in spite of the central heating. The bathroom floor was very cold. The visit was in January but we expected it to be warmer.

Good food, ales and convenient. On this occasion it was noisy until 2am. I suspect it was the proprietor and his family! Not good.
