Staff was very very kind, when we had a problem with our room they gave us another room without raising the price. The staff was also helpful with general questions. The location of the hotel is excellent. We had a quadruple room sharing with friends that had a transparent glass door for the bathroom that gave no privacy! The shower was very weak and the floor was slippery and the one room didnt even have the curtain separating the shower from the toilet. The sink was in the room. The double room was very small and claustrophobic. The extra pillows were dirty and stained and the walls were thin. We stayed in other hotels in London in the same area and same period with the same price that were far better.

Pros: Good English breakfast; comfy bed; quiet area; warm; good value. Cons: Shower only dribbled - had to move about to get wet; Spartan furnishing; door lock dodgy; no phone contact with Reception; no lift (and on 3rd floor); handbasin smaller than a p-pot.

The location was excellent. Stayed at hotel as it was near to St Pancras for the Eurostar. The price included a full English breakfast which was great! Reception staff friendly. Hotel was in a nice quiet square so you had a place to relax. The English breakfast comes as is. There is no option to have different eggs (scrambled instead of fried for example). Toilet smelt a bit funny so had to slide the door across to keep it in. You don't want the mild smell of 2 day old effluence whacking your nostrils when you've just had your fried breakfast. Or is that just us? Some "lady" was shouting at people as they walked passed her in the square whilst we stayed there too. Bit off-putting and we assumed it wasn't a regular thing but it could've been open air rehearsals for some angry play she'd written.Or she was shouting about the hotel loo (see above).

Very good value for money, friendly small hotel. I chose it to similar others because of the mixer tap in the bathroom. Staff was kind and informative. Only thing was that my room was close to the breakfast area and as soon as people started to eat, it was noisy. Don't go too late to have breakfast if you are in a hurry because you might have to wait for an empty chair

Very close to St Pancas station, which is the reason for our stay. There is a nice square/park in front of the hotel to chill out in when the sun is shining. Its suprisingly quiet considering its close to a busy road. The breakfast was cooked perfectly and promptly. Nice big bathroom. There were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. The corridors were narrow and the stairs were quite steep.

Nice clean room. Shower was OK, hot and abundant, shower gel was provided. The bed was quite big for one-bed apartment, even TV and fan provided. Full ENglish breakfast was provided, and kept me energised for the whole 5 hours :) ROom excellently located 5 minutes from Kings' Cross tube station and railway station Room unexpectedly with windows looking at closed yard, so I couldn't open the window for the whole night.

The hotel was very conveniently located, close to the underground and three of the major railway stations, including St Pancras. The staff were pleasant and helpful and though the room was small it was perfectly clean and comfortable.

Clean, quiet and a short walk to St Pancras/Kings cross station. Small room but no complaints given the price of £45 and good location - I only needed it for a brief stopover on business travel. Friendly staff, checking in at midnight and leaving at 6.15am was no problem.

At £40 for a single, this hotel was excellent value for money. It wasn't fancy, but the room was a good size, linen & bedding very clean, the bed adequately comfortable and included a full English breakfast, which included good quality components. Really minor things, which would be low cost for the hotel to sort, like replacing the toilet roll holder, the handle to the shower room door, adding a towel hook in the bathroom and maybe a wall holder for your soap/shower gel. But they had got the important things like cleanliness, bed comfort and breakfast right.

Does exactly as it says on the tin friendly staff , good breakfast, location excellent for Kings Cross/ Euston/St Pancras stations. Rooms compact but adequate and unlike most other Hotels you are not chased for payment on arrival before you have even seen facilities payment on departure. Late check out 11am Not a complaint but maybe tea making facilities in bedrooms would be an improvement

They let us in early for breakfast Noisey, 3 single camp beds as a family room, narrow corridors down into the basement (unsure if these meet fire regs!) Very basic room and bathroom. Expensive for the type of room

“The staff at Crestfield were absolutely friendly and helpful. The room was small as are all London hotels that are affordable, but I didn't mind it at all. The best part of staying at the Crestfield Hotel is the location. It is a block away from the King's Cross tube stop, which is in the heart of the city. Also, the Pancras International train station is there as well, making easy to grab a train to France/Belgium and the rest of Europe. Can't beat it!” Tony, Studio City |
