The buzz on arrival and the welcome of lit fires.. The open plan of restaurant & bar.. Friendly staff and the convenient location to Shoteditch.
Nothing comes to mind..
Reception area too close to the bar, which gets very crowded and can feel messy. Rooms a bit small but well designed.
Location, staff, the style and decor
Staff were useless on reception, customer service was very poor
For London, this hotel is amazing; speaking globally, it's very good. But that's not to downplay it, the number of hotels in London that are actually worth staying at is minimal. This is a great find. It's excellently designed, welcoming, comfortable, value for money, has a great atmosphere and is just really a top-of-the-line London hotel.
Slippers/bathrobe would have been the final touch.
Staff and room style are excellent. Very clean and nice-cool ambiance. The room is larger than what it looks on the photos. During week ends the bar can get crowded. It s therefore fun and noisy at the same time (avoid lower floor room for this reason)
noise of construction works at the back of the hotel is HELL. I understand it s not the hotel fault but if you expressely ask for a room on the other side of the hotel and you don t get one, then you really feel upset when drilling starts at 7,30 on a SATURDAY morning. I think it would be fairer if they price the rooms depending on their floor and facade. Tip: stay here only if you are granted the right floor and facade. Works will last minimum another year.
Lovely modern rooms, friendly staff, great location
very central in Shoreditch, close to Old Street underground, lively lobby, nice restaurant
Clean and minimal design. Comfortable and well laid out room. Really private.
Great food and vibe
Building works to the rear , very very noisy right out side our window at 8.15 !!!
loved the atmosphere in the hotel bar and restaurant on friday evening , staff very helpful, lovely themed room...
Hio location, great restos and bars around, good design, prices and staff, great shower, toiletries, healthy breakfast, bikes and good local map
Connecting rooms where neighboors try to open the opposite door, some noise in some rooms/air con and bysy corridors
Location cosmopolitan fab.
good and efficient staff, very nice room and quiet, quick room service
I checked in on Saturday evening - it was like entering the waiting room to hell! No bath in the room No quiet area for hotel guests very poor light levels in the public areas - impossible to read by £4 for a side of chips (a cupful) seems overpriced
On Sunday night and Monday the hotel was quiet enough to be able to sit in the main area.
Friday and sat it was too busy to just be in the hotel in any area that didn't feel like a busy pub/club. When I asked for a quiet area I was told there was not one
The room the atmosphere in downstairs bar the ambience. Would definnately recommend
From when I arrived (which was 5 past midnight) to checking in and having a drink in the lovely bar and then up to my room. Everything was just perfect. Great staff. And the price. Nobody comes anywhere near the Hoxton for value. Thank you.
There was nothing I didn't like.
Room service was extremely efficient.
The shower flooded the bathroom floor.
Location, American style restaurant, lively lobby & bar atmosphere, fit out and appointment of rooms. Responsive staff to request for iron and toothpaste.
Hugely enjoyed the buzz, the excellent bar, the quiet of my room and the overall standard of the facilities for the price. Just a great fun experience and I will certainly return.
My much anticipated breakfast bag failed to show - the only disappointment! Potential visitors should be aware that this is an 'edgy' part of town and some of the 'locals' may not be to everyone's taste - particularly late at night.
Great hotel with a brilliant bar and atmosphere. Loved it.
Location, relaxed styling, quirky touches in rooms, lounge/dining/cocktails in the inviting downstairs space. Great location for street art tours/photography, coffee and people watching, drinks with friends, breakfast, easy access for Tower of London (to see the poppies) just a couple of stops to Kings Cross if you're going to a gig at Scala.
It can be noisy in corridors around 2am when the bar shuts, it didn't bother us as we'd been out to a gig and were back late ourselves but be aware if you're expecting an early night and no chance of a little bit of noise as people return to their rooms.
Perfectly Designed! Great atmosphere! Felt like home
Not that cheap
Girl on check in was amazingly helpful
Attention to detail, great staff
Heat in the corridors and room but this is a small thing
