wifi like being at home microwave and fridge a real bonus than having to go out to eat. room clean lots of extras
do need a car to get to really
Very friendly and helpful. Room was good with microwave, fridge and plates/cutlery. Secure lock up for bicycle.I would stay again.
Too far to walk to Weatherspoon's for a tired cyclist! Tesco was 20 minutes walk away...quicker by car!
Everything except the location, hard to find.
Not knowing the room contained a microwave,I could have cooked my dinner.
Brilliant B & B. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was good and included in the price. The room was great value for money and very close to a wedding I attended. I even left something at the B & B which the owners are kindly going to post back to me. Great service would definitely recommend.
Pat and her husband where great to me and my friend who stayed for 2 nights for a festival. The breakfast was lovely and plentiful. Everything was clean and comfortable and we would stay again without hesitation.
Breakfast, a FULL English, was very good indeed. The room was well furnished with a very comfortable bed. The lady, Pat, was very helpful and gave us contact numbers for a taxi, she was also a master (or should it be Mistress) Chef for Breakfast
The creaking floors - which impacted on us when guests in the ajoining room got up at 5:15am - I didn't realise that there were two in a day
English hospitality at its finest, tasty cooked breakfasts, comfortable beds and superfast wifi. We could not be happier and the host Pat was the nicest person you could meet
Comfy, homely, clean, welcoming, excellent host and a good breakfast - liked having keys so could come and go anytime even very late in the evening.
Nothing - excellent place, great value for the money.
The toilets and the environment. Had a nice breakfast also.
informal freedomto come and go
Excellent room facilities, breakfast, friendly
Could hear constant traffic on main road , but not much you can do about that! Should be prewarned that need to phone pat as she doesn't live there, you'd be stuck if you hadn't a mobile on you.
An all round excellent service. The room was well stocked with tea, coffee, bottled water and a box of biscuits. The free WiFi was also most welcome. As mentioned in previous reviews, the breakfast was superb and Pat was an excellent hostess. 10/10 from me, would stay here again without question.
Pat was a great hostess. Wonderful breakfast. Everything in the room to allow for having snacks/microwave meals
Excellent food, super host.
The note left on my vehicle by a neighbour for parking on the street
Our room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. Perfect for a one night stay.
The house is in the middle of a housing estate, so a car is essential. Decor dated throughout and our room felt cluttered, far too many ornaments around and about & should definitely consider keep surfaces such as bedside tables clear of trinket boxes!
Clean and comfy, everything provided, crockery, fridge, microwave, large towels even dressing gowns.
There was nothing to dislike.
Comfy bed Bottle of chilled water in fridge Fresh milk in fridge Clean Welcoming
room had all usually expected things, but also had fridge, microwave and crockery etc. The bathroom was not en suite, but as there were no other guests we were alone in the house until breakfast time
Nobody was there on arrival. There was a phone number on the door, and a neighbour/manager arrived to let us in. She came back to get our breakfast, and we posted the key after locking up
Very friendly staff could not have do enough for us. Good brekky. Well appointed rooms. Is a little out of town but nice cut through walk in park as so there.
Pat, the landlady, was most accommodating, allowing us extra time at no extra cost to get ready for a wedding. She was quick to ensure our stay was comfortable. When I requested a room with en suite it meant changing the room and cleaning it, which she did.
everything about it
The housekeeper Pat who went out of her way to look after us was special.
There was nobody to greet us went we arrived at HP B&B at about 6pm. When we could not get a reply at the door, we tried telephoning and got an answer machine with a mobile number to ring. We rang the mobile number several times and on each occasion the voice said the number was unavailable. (This was after ringing the landline several times to check and recheck if we had the correct mobile number). As you can imagine we were by now becoming rather anxious We then knocked on a neighbour's door, who informed us the owner was abroad and telephoned another neighbour Pat who was acting as housekeeper. She did her best to make us feel welcome. The house was very cold and we were also cold in bed. When we mentioned this to Pat the next morning, she informed us that the Landlord had turned the heating off some week earlier. The wi-fi did not work with caused my friend some distress as she needed to contact her family in the US. When we went to pay, we were charged the full amount, although on the booking form it stated that a 20% deposit was taken from my credit card on the date of booking. When I queried this, Pat telephone the landlord in France and he assured me he had not taken a deposit, and added he put it on the booking form to deter people from not turning up. This practice is misleading and causes misunderstanding. Can booking.com please activity discourage this practice.
friendly helpful service, near my destination (visiting a relative), excellent breakfast, comfortable bed, spacious quiet bedroom.
too much light in bedroom - no thick curtains to block out light. difficult to regulate temperature of shower.
The hosts were lovely and incredibly accommodating. It really felt like a home from home. Single bed was comfortable and the shared bathroom was next to my room and felt like it was all mine.
It was a bit further away from town than I anticipated. My room was too warm. But both of these are minor gripes all in all.
